How can I grow my marykay cosmetic sales though I use a wheelchair?
Soundsations At Night

hi,
I use a wheelchair so that really hinders my businees because I lot of houses aren't acessiable, sugestions on how I can network and market?

The idea is to get them to come to your house. It does not matter if you are in a wheelchair. One of the greatest leaders of all time was President Franklin Roosevelt and he was in a wheelchair from the time he contacted polio as a young adult. This did not stop him from achieving his dream. There are many different ways to do your sales and I am sure there will be other posts on this answer from people who do Mary Kay Sales. Since you are in a wheel chair you are going to have to use an instrument that scares most people new to the sales business. It is called the telephone/cellphone. We use the phone all the time for mindless chit chat, but when it comes to asking something from someone we get nervous You are going to have to mentally tough and understand that people will say mean things to you and/or hang up in your face. Sales is a people to people business You can also do direct mailing and send samples and invitations through the mail. Anyway, I wish great success.

What kind of carpet should I get for wheelchair use?
Orion and Will respecting the neighbors in front of Bar 107 DTLA

My carpet in the bedrooms and hallway is the original carpet (16 years old). it is a plush or cut pile. My husband is a quadriplegic in a motorized wheelchair. He is very tough on all types of floors. We have burber in the living room and dining room and it seems to wear well. I would like to try frieze. He tends to mash and twist the carpet, especially when turning into a doorway. Will the frieze mat down quickly?

go with laminate flooring.

What happens to those who are in a wheelchair and can't use the elevator in a fire emergency?

We are told by the signs on the elevator that we can't use them in case of a fire. We then use the stairs to move, but there are those who are confined to wheelchairs and can't use the stairs.

When I was an RA, we had a list of rooms that needed assistance out of the building in emergencies. A lot of housing complexes will maintain something similar, and sometimes you'll see stickers on their doors.

If its in a public area, you'd hope to god that people are mindful of others and assist them.

If they're still available, rescuers can key into elevators to use them in evacuating those who need assistance.

At the club’s headquarters, essentially a 17,500-square-foot room that holds 200 able-bodied competitors some weekends, the wheelchairs are secured to brackets that keep them from moving. Each bracket costs up to $8,000 and positions the duelers an appropriate distance from each other (determined by the fencer with the shorter reach). The wheelchair-adapted sport traces its roots to veterans returning from World War II, and is only recently attracting followers among young people, with training programs in Atlanta, San Antonio and San Diego, among others. There are now only 27 wheelchair athletes in the United States Fencing Association, so the staff at the club believes there is ample...
