Not too big and bulky, and easy to take off and on!

I've seen wheelchair trays at CWI Medical

It's probably easier just to buy one, but if you want to take the time to build one. Get a big peice of cardboard form a big box, cut out the tray and transfer it to your board.

What to look for in a future therapy dog?
Meals on Wheels

I would like to get a dog that with training and bonding could be used as a therapy dog in the group home i work in. I have researched the testing requirements etc but i also know that there are certain traits etc that make a dog more suitable. My question is in applying these to different pups I'm looking at. I know there are puppy personality tests, that a trainer showed me, but i would like more opinions... If I look a either a litter or a single pup, what behaviors are the most favorable for therapy when the pup matures? What breed would I best with? I would like a friendly dog that is not shy. I have a somewhat dominant personality and dont have problems reminding a pup who is the alpha. My dad whom I live with would perfer a smaller dog and I can see the postives in being able to put a small dog on a wheelchair tray or a lap. Any ideas?? I am slightly biased to big dogs, havent met many smaller dogs that arent snippy little wrenches! Any advice would be great!

Temperment. You don't want a pup that hovers to the back of the litter but you don't want one that is constantly bullying the other either. The best thing to do is stand calmly and see which pup comes to you first . Have the breeder help in determining the pups temperment also. Much of what determines a good therapy dog comes with later training experiences.

Why would Senator McCain's Mother and Second Wife Cindy Sue His Wheelchair-Bound First Wife?

John McCain claims the fact that his ex-wife was sued twice, first by his mother, than by he and his "new" wife Cindy was all just "an accident." In fact, he says he didn't authorize, didn't have knowledge of, or participate in a lawsuit in which he sued his ex-wife for $1 million in punitive damages. In order to believe this, you have to believe that an attorney randomly picked his ex-wife and decided to "makeup" a lawsuit and file it against her, just happening to name McCain as the plaintiff. Here are the details. From the AP:

An old lawsuit on record at the city courthouse reveals a moment of friction between John McCain's mother and his ex-wife. Years later, McCain and his former wife presented a united front in a lawsuit of their own.

Roberta's lawsuit sought personal property she claimed Carol was refusing to return. The disputed items included an "18th century Burmise Buddist Preist (Burmese Buddhist priest)" valued by Roberta at $2,000, and a "Butlers Tray for Liquor" she valued at $225.

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds said in an e-mail, "Of course, by all accounts the divorce was completely amicable. After John and Carol McCain's divorce, there was apparently some confusion about belongings that were Roberta McCain's but we understand the court papers were unintentionally filed, and the matter never went further in the legal system. It went nowhere, and was of no consequence."

In the 1990 lawsuit, John and Carol McCain jointly sought $1 million in punitive damages after a property management firm mistakenly threw out some McCain family treasures from a garage the McCains shared with an adjacent townhouse. The lost items included letters McCain wrote to his wife as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

In his e-mail, Bounds said McCain "had no knowledge of the suit: He did not authorize the suit or participate in its filing."

But the lawyer who represented the McCains said she did indeed speak to McCain and get his permission to sue on his behalf.

"You can be sure that I talked to and got the permission of any client who is listed as a plaintiff," said attorney Barbara P. Beach.

None of the attorneys involved had an ethics complaint filed against them and anyone who wants to keep practicing knows you better damn well have your client's permission before you file a suit. Especially if that client is a United States Senator.

The more I dig, the more I unearth some very disturbing things about Senator McCain's family values. It should be evident to all who truthfully search....Senator McCain has no family values and does not value families!

Do you ever have these thoughts?

NOT actions, NOT serious thoughs, just random thoughts of doing things you normally wouldnt do.

Shoving the server with the huge tray of food.
Throwing the Bible at the Pastor while he is preaching.
Cussing really loud at a formal dinner.
Not flushing the toilet after #2 at your girl/boyfrinds parents house.
Stealing the new box of shoes off the lap of the guy in the wheelchair.

Again, NOT serious, just random theoretical thoughts. Do these kinds of thoughts happen to you? If so, why would you suppose that is?

Every person has insane thoughts. The difference between the sane person and the insane person lies on whether they pursue those thoughts and turn them into actions.
