Why couldn't it be done?
Do it like you would if you were walking.
The only thing is...I hope you don't think, that just because you are in a wheel chair that exempts you for picking up the poop.
Right you see my dog is a Shih Tzu called Lily and I want to be to train her a little, but she is a small dog and I am in a high up wheelchair, I'd like to be able to train her a little but its hard because I can't get out of my chair and she isn't allowed on any tables, any suggestions?
It would probably be helpful to buy a kiddies plastic table or something that Lily is allowed to go on for when you train Lily at home. She will soon realize that this is the only table she is allowed on and if you cover it in a fluffy blanket or something it will be the only table she will want to go on. You could get a dog trainer but I bet you'd rather train your dog yourself. Find some dog training classes in your area and let them know you are in a wheelchair and find it difficult to train her because of this. Their will probably be others their with a disability and Lily will also learn what she is supposed to do by watching the other dogs do it. They will have a helper assist you but not do all the work for you. E.g they will push Lily's bum down whilst you say "sit", this way, you can work with somebody else who knows what they are doing.
I suggest that for when you are training at home buy a plastic table or anything that Lily can go on whilst you are training her, cover it in something fluffy like a blanket and also give her a treat every time she gets up onto it, this way if she is unsure about it, she will learn to love it.
I suggest a clicker so that you don't need to bend down to pet her whenever she does something right. Just click the clicker and drop as treat on the floor. I also suggest a buzzer or something that sounds completely different for when Lily does something wrong (Like jumps on a table) Just buzz the buzzer and say no in a firm voice. She will soon learn the difference between a buzzer and a clicker. Whilst training her to do something, e.g sit, don't use the buzzer when she doesn't respond, it will only confuse her, just use the clicker when she does right. If she fails to respond, don't click and don't give ehr the treat. You only use the buzzer when she does something she isn't supposed to, like ripping something up, wees in the house, jumps on soemthing she isn't supposed to etc. But only use it whilst she is doing it, if she wees in the house and you don't realise until after when you see a wee on the floor don't buzz because she won't know what you are buzzing for. Only use it if you catch her in the action. Same with the clicker, if you catch her weeing outside like she is supposed to then click it and reward her, if you realise after she has weed outside then don't click her because she won't understand.
Example of cliker training:

By the way I don't use a buzzer, I just clap my hands or stamp my foot once very loudly. This way there is no chance of her getting confused with the buzzer and clicker and it is easier rather that having to carry a buzzer. Also, if you don't have the clicker with you, just click using your mouth!
Hope this helps a little!

It’s useful, with fitting and maintenance tips, and great advice on how to deal with other people’s attempts (welcome or unwelcome, invited or uninvited) to help. And the cartoons are really cute. It’s like being in 1976 all over again, in a good way.
You’ll have to get the PDF for each chapter separately. The bound book that you can buy online is paperback and has pages that are wider than they’re long, so it lies open flat.
