T8 paraplegic wants to be an ultrasound technician.
I can't imagine why not. You don't need to be able to stand or walk to operate an ultrasound machine. A quad might have a tougher time of it, though.

I use a wheelchair. I have been working successfully as a Mac support technician at independent Mac dealers for a number of years. I am looking for a new position. I was curious as to whether any wheelchair user has worked as a Mac Genius, or any Apple Store customer has been served by or seen a Mac Genius who is a wheelchair user.
being in a wheelchair shouldn;t prevent you from getting a job anywhere your skills are in demand and there is a job opening- that would be discrimination
Should My Elderly Mom get a Mammogram? | Care For Your Elder
This idea of older people not needing medical tests or proceedures because they are too old is hogwash. If anything the oppositre is true. The elderly need more medical testing and more medical proceedures than the young. Those are the harsh facts, but they are the true ones. We do not put our elders out to pasture when they get old. It is a ridiculous notion and one that should be discussed at every opportunity. Thank you for your article and bringing up a subject few really want to acknowledge.
