What does that wheelchair sign in Youtube...?
Confusing signs

mean? Like when you register you see these random letters and theres a wheelchair sign what does it mean?

It's a Captcha. They're mini Turin tests- designed to make sure that you are not a program designed to create accounts and then spam advertisement all over Youtube.com.

You see, programs today are terrible at using context. So if they see a Captcha they have a very, very hard time reading it.

However, legitimate users who are actually people can easily read them in most cases. So PEOPLE are allowed and robots are kept out. In this way, spam is prevented.

Is there a Captcha for signing up to Yahoo? Because it seems wqewr got past it...

Wheelchair bound - employer wants me to sign a liability waiver for if I'm injured during an evacuat. - legal?
Stain

I am in a wheelchair and have worked for my company for 15 years, on the 2nd floor. They have recently moved me away from my department to the 1st floor, banned me from the 2nd floor, and asked me to sign a waiver releasing them of liability if I CHOOSE to go to the 2nd floor and am injured during an emergency evacuation. Is this legal? I requested the rest of my department move too, and was told no, too expensive. We are a small company owned by a very large company. My bosses are saying the expense of moving the department creates a hardship, but aren't the larger entity finances considered, not just our small division? I work in an art department, so collaboration is vital, and I feel my performance will suffer from the isolation.

This is absolutely NOT legal and you should under no circumstances sign any type of waiver. Sounds like your company recently found out that their building was not up to code and compliant with ADA standards, and they are trying to get around having to make the building safe and accessible.

Where are the wheelchair accessible street entrances to NY Penn Station?
access signs

I take NJ Transit to Penn often and usually take the stairs/escalators onto 7th ave. I'll be traveling with someone in a wheelchair and it just dawned on me as much as I know Penn is fully accessible, I don't know where the street exits are for this purpose? Obviously I can just ask and follow the signs when we get there, but my friend isn't used to traveling via mass transit and would like to have everything all planned out ahead of time. Thanks!

You could also ask bus driver, Long Island Railroad, or New Jersey Transit employee or subway employees for New Jersey Transit accessible station.
I think it will be around 33rd St bet. 7th & 8th Avs I think.

What happens to those who are in a wheelchair and can't use the elevator in a fire emergency?
Paccar hall

We are told by the signs on the elevator that we can't use them in case of a fire. We then use the stairs to move, but there are those who are confined to wheelchairs and can't use the stairs.

When I was an RA, we had a list of rooms that needed assistance out of the building in emergencies. A lot of housing complexes will maintain something similar, and sometimes you'll see stickers on their doors.

If its in a public area, you'd hope to god that people are mindful of others and assist them.

If they're still available, rescuers can key into elevators to use them in evacuating those who need assistance.
