Wheelchair Seat

i dont see a lever only a lever to turn the chair. i really need to get my wheelchair charging and i just want to get to the battery but cant because the plastic and i cant take off the plastic without taken the chair off. plz help. thank u.

I've had a Permobil C500 wheelchair with the corpus seating for the past two years. For several months now I have been getting pain in my tailbone. I have some people recommend either a Roho cushion or Jay cushion. Both are expensive and to my surprise both companies offer about 20 different cushions. I'd like to hear the opinion of some end users.

As a C2-C3 quadriplegic I use a ROHO High Profile, my chair is an Invacare TDX5. I have tried the Jay type cushion but had a few skin problems, but since I switched to the ROHO, I have had no problems at all. Hope this helps.

According to the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), they can. You must be 15 years or older as required by the FAA.

However, the ADA says that the airline cannot assume that since a cusotmer is sitting in a wheelchair that they cannot assist in an emergency evacuation. If the customer says they are "willing and able" to do the necessary functions, then they cannot discriminate. If the customer is completely immobile, then they obviously know they can't sit in that seat. But I've seen customers in their mid 70's who said they are fully capable of lifting the 30 pound door and insisted that they be kept there.

However, if the captain says that he is not comfortable with the wheelchair sitting in an emergency exit row, then he has the authority to move that customer to another seat.

It's a very touchy subject, but the captain always has the final say.

We are taking my father to the OU/TCU game and are suppose to exchange our tickets for wheelchair seating and want to know where the seats are located. It does not show them on the seating chart.

They are located in the south end zone (the detached part). They are in front of sections 36-40. I think there is also some seating towards the front either in or near the student section on the north side. I hope that helps
