My grandparents would like to know if they are supposed to tip those people who drive the airport carts or the people who take you to and from the gate in a wheelchair. They have been tipping them about $15 when they use those services. What is expected? We have no idea if those porters work for tips or not.
Thanks, Renee
It is not required - but it is a terribly nice gesture on the part of your Grandparents. They must be very generous people.
$15.00 is a bit steep. I would say $5.00 is a bit more like it... maybe $10.00 if they were particularly helpful with the luggage and very friendly.

Today as soon as i deploy the lift, they started complaining, just like that. Dont they realize that they can be in that wheelchair someday?
because it takes time. but i think it is good that buses accommodate people with disabilities. It's got to be very hard to be a person in that sitiuation.
My sister is interning and a rehab place for people with physical and mental disabilities and she needs a fun game for Gym class that relates to sports. Most people cannot use thier lower bodies. Last year, the intern did magnetic fishing. My sister loves the idea but does not want to copy. She is looking for something creative... Any ideas?

Sometimes I'm around people who ride on wheelchairs.
I'm not quite sure how to act around them. I don't want to be rude or anything.
Should I offer to get them random items from high places they can't reach?
Should I ask them if they want to be rolled around or pushed anywhere?
What do I talk about? Should I comment on how much I like their wheelchair or tell them I wish I was in one too???
plz suggestions
You can say you like their wheelchair, you can ask why they are in a wheelchair - don't treat them like they're wrapped in bubble wrap.
Offering to reach high things is very nice, but I wouldn't offer to push them ... that's like offering an abled person to carry them ... lol.
and how will it work if i can get a wheelchair. will i wait in regular lines or go in the fast pass lines? will disneyland give me a wheelchair to use?
If you have a disabled metro transit,, or any transit districts ID, or can provide any type of proof
if you are doing it just so you can get on more rides forget it,, they have heard it all,,, and unless you have a legit reason and can prove it you are going to be standing in line just like everyone,,, watching all the weirdo's is more fun than the rides sometimes,,, it's part of the fun of Disneyland!!
I've been the Disneyland hundreds of times,,, the last few years as a disabled person
