Will a wheelchair be counted as one of my checked bags when flying to Thailand if it's not actually my chair?

I will be traveling to Thailand in February on a wheelchair distribution missions trip. The wheelchairs are all shipped in containers, but I am bringing one with me, a pediatric chair that belonged to my thirteen year old brother who died in September. I'm taking it with me so I can personally meet the child who receives it. My question is, since I'm not actually bringing it as my wheelchair to use, will the wheelchair be counted as one of my allotted two checked bags, or will I be able to check two bags and the wheelchair? I'm bringing a lot of donations so it would be amazing if I could still have two bags, but I don't want to get to the airport and find out its the wheelchair or one of my bags! Thank you!

Of course it will count as one of "your" bags. Does not matter if it is a gift for someone, YOU are the owner now and You are the person bringing it on the plane. You could call the airline and ask how much the extra charge is if you bring 2 bags plus the wheelchair.

San Francisco man with wheelchair containing human remains?

I was in the Mission district of San Francisco today, and I saw a man standing next to a wheelchair with what looked like the burnt or decaying remains of a human body. The wheelchair what weird looking, with things like speakers and some sort of a tank (oxygen? helium?) spray-painted blue attached to it. I am at a total loss for where to categorize this question, or who to ask, but has anyone seen this person before?
He was with two other guys that were pretty weird too..
I couldn't tell if it was real remains or some sort of modeled pieces all set up in the chair to look like remains.
For all I know they could have been going to some demonstration or something, I mostly just want to know if anyone else has seen this!

Nah I didn't see it, and I was walking about that day too. Probably going to some sort of demonstration. Nobody would seriously walk with human remains in broad daylight. Not even the stupidest of people. And if someone is stupid enough to do that, they're probably insane in the membrane.

What's the best way to go to the River Walk from the NW part of San Antonio, Tx?

We will stay at the Drury NW (I-10 & Wurzbach). Is it easy to find parking downtown? The same goes for the Missions. And one more thing: One person of our party uses a wheelchair. Thanks.

Take 410 to 10,,,,get off on Durango, around the exit loop to the east, go several blocks to St. Marys, turn north to Presa St and park in the big garage by the Hilton Hotel....easy access to everything and is wheelchair friendly. It's the tall garage right behind the Casa Rio Restuarant and right by the river. They also have security cameras.

Who donates to charity?

i go to Orange Lutheran high school and for our senior project, we are doing a free wheelchair mission contest (free wheelchair mission gives out cost efficient wheel chairs to disabled people in third world countries). the class that raises the most money is supposed to get a cool prize. we want to raise enough money to send a full shipping thing out. each wheel is only a donation of 13 bucks, can you please look at this link and let me know of some ways i can get more people to donate? we only have 2 weeks left and right now were losing

We do.... we feel so fortunate to have a home, and paid bills, and a little money saved that we give a little bit to a lot of places. You need to contact people on a one to one basis and explain how one person (and hopefully you have a person that you know about that you can call by name) will benefit so much by the help they will receive from this wheelchair that is going to be provided. People respond when they think they "Know" the person that they will be helping.

paraplegic olympics winner 1991 now a conference speaker health and safety accident prevention.I have university project and chose to do my seminar this monday june 12 th on safety accident prevention and I cannot find a picture of michel in wheel chair at olympics which i remember was posted during his conferences on safety awareness at a mining industry i had worked for.Michel lost his 2 legs due to a mining accident at the age of 28 and has dedicated his life to motivating employees to look after their security and health and prevent accidents. My focal point of seminar is prevention and a safety award program to achieve desired safe behavior and to me Michel Juteau mission to responsibilize workers to their own safety is in direct line with my views and I find him very admirable and concise.

A Noble Mission

A Noble Mission by Raquel Simons

Over 25 years ago, a fellow named Don Shoendorfer was traveling in Morocco and witnessed a sight that inspired him to make a difference in the world. To bear witness to the sight of a crippled Moroccan woman dragging herself across a dirty road in the middle of town proved too much for him. Her image haunted him for many years to come, until he decided to put his education to use for those less fortunate. He has undertaken a task of great importance, which has the potential to change lives.

In 1999, Don established the Free Wheelchair Mission as a non-profit organization and set to work giving mobility and dignity back to disabled people in developing...
