I'm thinking of buying a van that's wheelchair acessable what? van is more acessabl from the factory. thanks..?

I used to have a 1988 Ford full size van with the raised roof and lowered floor, we had to remove a wheelchair headrest & I had to duck, in order to go in. After that we rented a late model, then bought a 1995, Dodge, Town & Country minivans, with lowered floors, both allow me to enter with a headrest still on the wheelchair. Plus I have more headroom and can see out the windows better. Someone told me that the Chrysler products and the Chevy had the most vertical height to the side doors.

I have a Book that I am writing. What do you think I should Title it?

From what you have written so far, it reads to me like you are going to go into the Indian, shape-shifter, shaman things, though of course I don't really know because there isn't enough here to be sure.

Personally, unless you are Indian, I hope you don't go that route; it's better left alone. If you are Indian you won't do it anyway, you would know better... if anyone were around to tell you.

If I am totally in the wrong, please accept my apology, and let's take a look at what you've written. It's always best to go back and take a look at things whenever the words stop crowding out; seemingly on their own sometimes, huh.

You need to re-write; there are confusing passages for the reader, and the usual typos and things. Try to put yourself in the mind of a reader seeing this work for the very first time and read it that way.

For me, I didn't know who was talking-- who the "he" was that was being referred to-- a few too many times. Once is too many really, but you have a few times here.

And why does Macie seem interested in knowing something and then tune it out completely? Why is she so resistant to her dad's hugs? What would keep a person from seeing a wheel chair right away? Does or did she have a car or a truck? Things like that, you see?

I suppose some questions will be answered later (hoping), but the flips between talking about a car and then a truck, the beginning of description on a walk to the tree with Haiden and then no description at all, the blind spots about the wheel chair, gaps in missing Carol... I don't know, somethings are just puzzling, to say the least.

Still, I AM interested in the story, so that is very good. You have left some tantalizing starts out there. Sorry, I don't know what you should title it, except 'Working Title,' since it's not very far along yet. Don't worry about a title yet.

Just keep on writing to your heart's content! Luck...

Does anyone else out there have a prankster for a husband? (Warning: long rant!)?

Okay, here's the deal. My husband and I have been together almost 10 years, married for 6. We have a blended family that includes three children.

Long story short, he's driving me bananas.

At least two or three times, every single day, he plays pranks on me. These include such lame things as sneaking up on me in the shower and yelling "RAR" so loud that I jump out of my skin, calling me at work and pretending to be someone else (i.e. "this is the chocolate factory. Your order is ready...), knocking on the wall so I think someone is knocking at the door, saying embarrassing things to me very loudly in a crowded store (i.e. "those tampons you are buying are soooo huge!! How will we fit them in?"), and pulling down my pajama pants every time I walk by. Oh, those are just a few of his tactics. I never know what he's got up his sleeve.

He's always played pranks since I've known him, but have happened more and more frequently as the years have gone on. I can enjoy the occasional prank as well as anyone, but c'mon, it's gotten out of control. I'm always on the lookout for what he's planning next. It's exhausting. And he's no kid. The man is 35 for crying out loud. I feel like he's my fourth child and definitely the worst behaved!

Can anyone give me some tips for dealing with this or getting him to tone it down a bit? I really am at my wit's end. The first two or three times it was funny. 56,000 times later, not so much.

I just envision the two of us in wheelchairs in the rest home and my husband will be plotting how to sneak over to unlock the brakes on my wheelchair so I take a wild, crazy ride down the wheelchair ramp. Will the madness ever end!?!

So, short of tasering him within one inch of his life, how can I get him to stop or keep his pranks to a minimum. Please don't say talk to him about it. I have until I'm blue in the face and he just laughs and it seems to egg him on. Any other suggestions appreciated. Even revenge. Yes. I've come to that point.

Thanks for reading my long rant and please help me out here people!!

I'm wondering if your husband's behaviour is not simply abuse. Try reading the book by Lundy Bancroft: Why does he do that? Inside the minds of angry and controlling men. Also, a book about boundaries would be helpful, you could try, When to say yes, when to say no, to take control of your life, by Townsend and Cloud. You deserve to be well treated.
