Ive been on the dating scene for a while now. Im a perfectly capable person, I just use a wheelchair. How do I find a guy that wont use his discomfort with my disability as an excuse to bail?
if they really like you a wheel chair doesnt matter. I look at it this way. I use a cane and have a bad back if any women likes me for who I am instead of who I am not. She is worth my time. If she doesnt like that I cant do this or that (get lost) shes not worth it.The person has to see whats on the inside not how you are on the outside. Thats why you see beautiful models with fat ugly men. Do what I did after my surgeries I was in a wheelchair for over a yr. I put a sign on the back of the seat that said " I'm available" its a good icebreaker. Go to support groups I have met lots of people thru there. This will sound stupid but go out and exercise, I mean go to a bike path or park I've met alot of nice women there too. I still walk with a cane and it must be something sophisticated with it cuz it attracts the women. ( I dont know how it has a bunch of drag racing stickers on it) but I try not to consider myself as handicapped. I just keep positive attitude and say to myself I just cant do as much as the other guy. and see thats there is others alot worse off than I am at least I can walk ( not Far ) and my thing still works .

I truly would like a healthy girl and I don't know what to say to her. I don't want to be a jurk and hurt her further than she has already. I need help on how to break this off without hurting her.
Just because she has CP and uses a wheelchair does not mean she isn't healthy.
As for you, its too late for you to say you don't want to be a jerk because you already are one for changing your attitude to her because of something as irrelevant and meaningless as her physical disability.
In the Degrassi Youtube video called- Degrassi what if Jimmy never got shot it says he gets excepted into Basketball collage and SEAN is in the wheelchair dating Ellie but out of all things what would have happened is that he never broke up with Ellie and Jimmy is in Basketball college so someone explain why Sean is in the Whellchair
Because sean would of been the first shot if jimmy never would of and we are just assuming it would of landed him in a whelchair
im strarting to see a wheelchair user guy - has anyone any tips or anything i should remember???
i kinda feel bit awkward when hes transfering or when he cant get into pubs or clubs.....
how do i talk about his accident with him???
Thats great i have a lot of respect for you i think alot of people these days see wheel chair users as someone to look at, although they have feelings and need love the same as everyone else. Yeah i would wait for him to speak about that, i would not ask him, if he is comfortable with you he will tell all. Only tip really is do your research of where your going, if you go to a reataurant thats not wheelchair friendly, it will be a bit awkward for you. Although i find disabled people mentally strong if they have been in it for a while. Good luck, hope it works out.
will the girls still find me attractive im 17 and was recently put in a wheelchair im i had no problems dating girls before actually i think i was to good but now im nervous and think that they wont like me...
Sorry. You want to here it will be the same but sorry it will not be,

Crew is back, but in the meantime, we have our list of outrageous moments.
3. “You’re halfway decent looking.” Larry’s not-really-joking pickup line to Denise, a woman he meets at a coffee shop while listening to violinist Chee Yun, comes right before he realizes that she’s in a wheelchair. Determined not to come across as an asshole (we don’t know why he ever bothers), Larry takes her out anyway and grows frustrated when he can’t induce her to, uh, herself while they’re having sex. (This leads to a hilarious conversation with Leon: “You brought it? You brought the ruckus to that ass?” “I did! I brought it!”) He grows to enjoy the perks of dating a woman in a wheelchair, though: They don’t have to wait in lines for restaurants, waiters give them free champagne, and all the people who think Larry’s a jerk re-evaluate him when they see how “progressive” his dating habits are.
