Wheelchair entrance

I have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and in need of a ramp to get in and out of the house. I have a power wheel chair, but am stuck in the house because I do not have a ramp and it is so heavy it cannot be carried up and down the steps by anyone. I cannot afford to have one built because i have thousands of dollars of medical bills already. Is there anyone out there that can help? I live in Delaware co. Thanks!

Have a look at this article about wheelchair ramps. There are lots of organization that will help you. For example, try Rebuilding Together. You will find information on that page:

I'm looking for a place online that sells large company size wheelchair vans I need room for 4-6 wheelchairs.
NWB VT520

This van would be for my church here in Omaha Nebraska.

You need to find your local mobility dealership and contact them first. Even if they do not carry large transport vehicles, they will be able to point you in the direction of a reputable company that does sell them. To find your local mobility dealer, visit the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association website at http://www.nmeda.org. Looks like you have about 5 dealers there in Nebraska.

P1100647 - The Turks

i have a power chair i am able to walk inside the vehicle if i have walls to hang on to or bars in the roof to hold on to and are there rentals of recreational vehicles already adapted for wheelchair users i am just wanting to travel but cerebal palsey makes it difficult to use small spaces and not hurt myself in the process including the fact all the r.v. i have seen have a bathroom i cannot use nore do they have a shower i can use the bed is no big deal but getting clothes on me is going to be more harded in tight spaces if anyone has experience in this and know of a way to get an r.v. adapted i would be so thankfull thanks everyone

I understand your concerns. In general, the market for wheelchair accessible RV is small enough that most customize an existing RV instead by adding wheelchair lifts and modify existing hardware and entry and showers and such.

Here's a link to more links that may help.

  • SAVE THE WHALES

Because people have been killing them and selling their body parts for money. Even though it is now against the law to kill whales for food anywhere in the world, Japan and Norway are getting around this law by claiming that they are killing whales to study them. People in other places have also been caught killing whales even though it’s illegal. Whale meat is even considered a ‘delicacy’ in Japan and some other countries. The oil from their bodies have been used to make lipstick, shoe polish, margarine and transmission oil for cars; and some kill whales with tusks to get their ivory to sell for money.

Whales are mammals just like us.  They give birth to babies which they nurse. Whales deserve to have SAFE ACCESS in our ocean waters.  I hope all will help make our world more sensitive, respectful, safer and accessible to whales!
