Can anyone suggest wheelchair accessible clubs in Glasgow that would be appropriate for an 18th birthday?

I am planning a birthday night out for myself and some friends to celebrate my eighteenth birthday and one of my friends is in a wheelchair and we are having difficulty finding suitable clubs to go to in Glasgow city centre. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions! Thanks.

Anyone else who keeps beat to the music and partner balanced in a wheelie from a wheelchair in a club?

I've found multiple pages that cover ballroom wheelchair dancing and specific dance steps in a wheelchair. There appears to be a scarcity of information on people who go dancing in nightclubs. I know people go out dancing in the chair but I’ve yet to see anyone locally or online that perform the majority of their dancing balanced in a wheelie unless I’ve missed something.
I've danced to hiphop techno 80s music and recently hit the Goth scene. I have tremendous fun dancing in the chair. Finding a willing and enthusiastic dance partner is never an issue. I enjoy exposing people to the concept of someone who can dance even though they are in a chair. Generally a group of people that would not have an interest in the organized styles of dancing I’ve seen. I receive numerous complements on my ability to dance as well or better than some able-bodied people.
Are there others that dance like that?

yes

How can a guy in a wheelchair succesfully meeting a girl at dance club/bar/?

Hi ,

I'm a single 31 year old guy who has Spina Bifida and I'm confined to a wheelchair. When I go out, I run into some difficult situations. First, I meet a girl who seems interesting and she wants me to drink which I'm not very comfortable with.

Furthermore, since the places I go to are dance clubs the subject of dancing also comes up. I don't know how a wheelchair person can dance. These problems I've been having seem to keep me from establishing a connection with girls I meet. They seem to lose interest within a very short time and go elsewhere. It's very discouraging.

If someone could give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

First of all, you need to meet a woman somewhere that YOU are comfortable with, a place you have the most fun and capabilities. If you are Christian, I say church, other places-book store, supermarket, anywhere that women will be doing normal daily things. If you aren't comfortable with drinking, I would quit with the club scene. I know that when I go to the club I like to drink, most girls do. And they also don't like doing it alone, because if the man is sober and the girl is toasted...how would you both feel the next morning?
