Wheelchair Charity

I need help building a ramp and widening doorways and I can't afford a carpender to do it. I'm looking for help in the Orlando FL area.

Contact your local Kiwanis Club. I know for a FACT that they build wheelchair ramps. They might be able to connect you to a contractor (because that's what you need...not just a carpenter) willing to donate the work. www.kiwanis.org

I can't really buy a vehicle but I can date with no vehicle is their a Charity that can help me out im 18 and cant drive, I Cant do anything by my self I get so board just siting at home!!!

if you get a van or a mini van you can find a place called ride away that installs a wheel chair access able van and you drive in it or if you live in florida where im temporarly staying you can get a van at brandon ford and goto ride away then they will install it i only know where ride away is in florida but u can look it up on google it will coast you about 7,500 or for full set of wheel chair access able van it will coast $14,500
so it ranges from $ 7,500 - 14,500

I am in a charity called the EDSA we are all disabled some worse than others, we need to raise some money to get some waterproof covers so we can go on trips or to football games, so that we are warm and dry.

Any suggestion of how i can raise the money will be welcome, thank you to all answers given.

Put on a wheelchair basketball game. Get the local TV and radio stations to do the advertising. Perhaps get local business to sponser the players. Get local restaurants to donate food.

My son has been asked to collect the weight of a girls wheelchair in green bottle tops, a charity will then provide a super electric wheelchair for the disabled girl. I have since been told that this is a scam and has been around for some time. is this the case?

Young girl with cerebral palsy, in need of a new wheelchair and money to pay for physical therapy (family can only afford 1 hour per week). Does anyone know of any charity organization that can help? national or local (chicago area).

You can try MDA, which is a national organization that helps people with cerebral palsy. Also, you can do a event where the community is involved, and you can do benefit car washes, bake sales. Be creative and I am certain you can come up with something. Your heart is in a good place and therefore, God bless you.
