Would it feel better to hit an old person in a wheelchair or a toddler with polio?
Wheelchair

Wallop the sickly little brat hard enough to kill it so it can't infect the rest of us. Yuck.

Is a comatose or wheelchair-bound 2-year old still called a toddler?
Joystick

I mean, no toddling is going on. Is there another term?

No, there's more definitions to a word then just one.
And in this case the word is used to describe an age range, more so than an act.

How should one punish a child toddler through teenage years?
Atti in his wheelchair

My fiance and I are planning to conceive next year but neither of us knows how to properly punish a child. He was beaten by his dad until the man had a car accident and was confined to a wheelchair and after that he had no rules; I was hit often and given time-out occasionally, but as a teenager I too had no rules to follow. We want to give our child structure because we feel it's important but we're unsure how to punish a child for misbehavior.
Thank you Ariana, I really appreciate your advice and will look into parenting classes. =)

I don't know why someone said you are not ready to have children--the fact you are concerned about this shows that indeed you are. I do think the suggestion on counseling is a good one--both of you have been through a lot.

As far as your exact question--I am a big believer in spanking--NOT beating--but given your history that may not be the route you want to take.

Toy school bus with these 3 wiggly-wobbly characters: Maggie, Michael and Carlos the Bus Driver
Pushing down on the seated driver starts all sorts of action--lights, talking, and a song about stop and go

i tried to get a wheelchair user onto a bus today. why was it so difficult?
Setting off

first and second bus, the ramp would not deport. third one held a woman who would not fold her buggy down even though it held only shopping!!!!! she did have the toddler in her arms but surely the bus driver should have shown authority and made room for the wheelchair. shouldnt he?

By law.... yes they are supposed too, if next time you take public transport, something like that happens again, try to get the drivers name and the registration number of the bus he/she was driving......and also the time and date, then report them, because what they did was descrimination.....no more no less

The woman that refused to move her pram was just flat out rude and should have been removed from the bus altogether, im sorry that things were so difficult for you....i hope that people act a little more appropriately next time.....

Whats a good pram in Australia for 2 babies?
IMG_7515

My son will be 14 months old when we have our new baby so I need a double / twin pram. I have read about different sorts but still not sure. I like the idea of side-by-side as they will both beable to see out although I'm not sure how many door frames I wont beable to get through. Is a side-by-side the same width a wheelchair? A one-front-one-behind sounds better for doorways but one child will not beable to see as well as the front one. Also what about a toddler seat? How old can babies be before they can sit in it? I'm in Australia, so any help from Aussie mums will be very helpful - like what experiences have you had? Thankyou.

my daughter was 14 months old when i had my next baby.i bought a jogger pram with the extra seat at the front,BIG mistake!!!my 14 month old broke 2 seats in 3 months, all she kept doing was twisting around, leaning back and pulling at the baby,i thought about getting a side by side but changed my mind because i thought my older child would just constantly be leaning over and hurting, annoying the baby,i ended up getting a tandem these plenty of room between the two of them, which means no dramas when we go out. my younger baby at the back can see the world fine from the side. they are a bit harder to push around being longer but u do get used to it,im so much happier with my tandem.

  • More about Baby Strollers | "Nearly" Universal Wheelchair Cup Holder

Life changes drastically for those who have a small baby at home. People could have a rather easy going and cool lifestyle earlier, carefree and relatively easy. But once baby arrives and starts growing up fast, parents become quite a busy and sometimes harried, running around juggling multiple demands both inside and outside home. It is no wonder then, that baby strollers have become so very popular as these give parents the opportunity to venture out for a walk in the great outdoors, enjoying the cool breeze and rejuvenate themselves.

Some of the best baby strollers come equipped with cup holders which are an integral part of the strollers. The basic objective of having these cup holders is to be able to carry a lot of stuff around when one is on the move. You can store house and care keys, baby feed and perhaps some drink for yourself in the cup holder. This is quite a great idea because you never know when you might need these articles when you are out of home.
