More specific, are there assisted living centers or rehabilitation centers that will buy used wheel chairs?
Facilities rarely buy chairs- we get them donated all the time and usually cannot even use those.
Your state's Assistive Technology Project, League of Human Dignity, or other advocacy group may run a program for used stuff, but most of them prefer free stuff.
You need to remember that most special needs chair users will get a chair for free from the state or insurance, so there is not much of a market for used ones.
I know it is frustrating, but a chair that ran tens of thousands of dollars new has a resale value, in most cases, of only a couple hundred bucks at most.

i work with people with special needs in a day program setting in Toronto.i'm looking for the places where we can go with clients without paying entrace fee.we want to go out for integration in society as much as we can but because of budget constraints we are unable to do so.
everybody needs some entertainment in life and our guys too need it.we need the places like clubs, museum, parks, amusement parks, theatres, art galleries, indoor and outdoor shows and festivals etc, etc.
If you check the various museums and art galleries websites there is often a day it is free. Also, if you call them, they may be willing to let you in if you explain what you are doing. High park is always nice as is the boardwalk at the Beaches. For free festivals and stuff, check toronto.com.
hi. i'm currently in a service learning project in a special school. the project requires us to organize a sports carnival for their students aged from 5 to 16, all of them with special needs, and some are wheelchair-bound. it's quite difficult to tend to everyone's needs, and with their different characters and limitations, so i really need help with choosing simple games that can keep them active and lively.
what are some simple games that you think are suitable for me to include in the sports carnival?
You may want to contact a local special olympics http://info.specialolympics.org/Special+ Olympics+Public+Website/English/Program_ Locator/North_America/Program+List.htm
I would think they would be able to give ideas that would be enjoyable for all to play no matter what their limitations are.
You may want to look into a place that gives therapy such as psychical therapy, they usually give services to a variety of special needs people with different limitations, they might be able to help you with some ideas for games as well.
