Sitting Cushion

I am in a wheel chair. I cannot walk at all. Sometimes my bottom gets so sore I could cry. I have heard about a jell cushion to sit on. Sre there any others?

Please Please do not buy the donut cushion. I am sure it was meant well but these can cause major pressure sores to people in wheel chairs or who have to sit for extended periods. I have spent years caring for people with massive pressure sores that can take months to years to heal. The edge of the hole puts pressure on the skin. These are no longer allowed in any health facilities in australia The Gel cushion or a pressure one from a medical store would be best. Ask an Occupational Therapist.

Please do not be offended but extra weight or even too thin a person can increase pain from the pressure of sitting.

My dad just did it and i was pretty impressed, i think he needs to go on a diet! I dont think they make them like they used to.

I am in India and I have been initiated to sitting meditation.For this a cushion is needed.There is this special cushion in round form called Zafu.

It would be possible for me to pay by way of bankers cheque in $$$ valid ANY WHERE.I do not find sales of Zafu or Zabutone in India and I need one Zafu filled with buckwheat hull as this stays hard and does not depress over the time I use the cotton filled cushion which is depressed withing 8-10 weeks time and need replacement in order to maintain the height.

Advanced Practitioners and Adepts may not need to sit on any cushion, but I need.. Some may even not sit at all.. but I need to sit.. My question may pl be carefully read and answered.Those attempting answers..

You will never find one that does not cost as much as a complete new swing. If you search YAs you will see how many people have been unsuccessful. I'm one. I gave up and made a new cushion and canopy for $50 with materials from the fabric store and 4 hours time.

Have you tried Ebay? maybe try looking at Kmart or Target as they may have something similar, hope u find it.
