I'm thinking of applying for the X factor next year. Should I rock up in a wheelchair to improve my chances?
Differently Abled

No you should not rock up in a wheelchair unless you already use a wheelchair or need it for physical/medical reasons.
If you need a wheelchair so you don't fall or because you are unable to stand/walk for more than 2 or 3 minutes then certainly you should use a wheelchair.
In other words, if the purpose of the wheelchair is to draw pity then you should not use it, but if you need the wheelchair then yes you should use it.
Nearly every disabled person and disability related organization is busy advocating to do away with pity, and so please do not attempt to draw on inappropriate advancement based on the false belief that people with disabilities are less than.

i helped this guy in a wheelchair today?
James rocks out

i was riding with my father in his car, and we seen this guy in a wheelchair by a bus stop and i started thinking maybe i should help him, so by the time i made the decision i was already home, so i walked back to the bus stop and seen him stuck on some rocks and i helped him out and asked him if i could help him and i pushed him about 2 miles on his way home it was by mine also and he said that he could do it the rest of the way, so i let him go and i headed home, i didnt want my mom to worry it was about 11 40 at night and i assumed he had done it before, considering hes been in there all his life as he said,Is there places where you can take care of people like that for community service, or maybe for a future job, i used to help my mom in the nursing home that she worked at and i think it would be nice for me. so if anyone has any comments or ideas please tell me thnks

that's so totally awesome of you, alot of towns have websites that you can go to, you can send then an e-mail and aks them where you can get that kind of place, i do charity work, and it's a great feeling, if you want to help old people, go to the nursing or verterans home and ask a front desk person if there is anything you can help with, or you can do the same at the hospital...

why is it that there's no rock bands with someone in a wheelchair?????

Just wanna know cose im in a wheelchair and i wanna start a band..............

There is a local band that plays all around new england, i don't know the name but there was an incredible drummer in a wheelchair and he was the star of the band,i've also seen a guitarist in a wheelchair who was good, but the drummer really stood out to me just because he could not use a bass drum so he used a floor tom tuned to sound like a bass drum, so he had to use his hi-hat/ride hand to play the tom and he never missed the beat. honestly i do not know why there are no famous rock bands with someone in a wheelchair, but i think has more to do with the record company rather than the band because record companies are all about money and image, and i think a lot of record companies are to shallow to sign someone in a wheelchair because it may ruin the image of the company.
Anyway best of luck to you starting a band, its the most fun your going to ever have

wheelchair enhancement?

My sister just got an electric wheelchair and whenever i come home to visit, she gets wasted and i drive it around. I was trying to take it up some rocks out back and it bottomed out and something snapped. I managed to still climb the hill in the wheelchair but it pulles to one side and the brakes dont work worth a crap now. are there any repair kits for them or should i just give it back and hope for the best? it still runs but not as fast as it was.

That's funny !!!!!!!!!!
