Did you see the Tampa cop throwing the quadriplegic out of his wheelchair?
Christoph G.

Too many dishonorable cops, no wonder they don't show their face in public anymore.

Yes I saw it and it reminded me of the time that I saw this cop dump his bike at the end of my street and when I drove by him he was trying to pick his bike up so I laid on the horn and swerved around him a little too close maybe and flipped him off out the drivers side window. Then I got to my house and put my car in the garage so he couldn't find me. Every time I think about that I just about die laughing. Stupid Nazi cops. I'd like to taser a few. Cops SUK.

Im a quadriplegic using a wheelchair but I am able to get in and out of by myself?
Christoph G.

My doctor recommends I lay flat on my bed with my legs elevated above my heart to reduce swelling in my lower body but I cant do it alone Any suggestions for me when Im alone?
I have fairly good use of my arms They dont turn over straight but I am able to grab things fine most of the time and I could place pillows on the bed before getting in it but I dont know if it would work well since my paralysis is mostly around my middle

Try placing pillows or rolled up blanket on the foot of the bed before getting into the bed. If you have some use of your upper body and can place your legs atop them.
Would help to know how much upper body use you have.

even if he is not paralized. even if he/she is a Cop or Corrections ...it is not the point. this action by the defendent exposed a severe -mental flaw- that NO ONE in this field should have. and that is The propensity for violence.

No second chance on this one.
they are authorized to carry guns.
what if she snapped while having a gun...in public?

that is amazingly so cruel. where did that idea of dumping a person off a wheelchair come from. it looked so Matter of fact. like it has been done before.

The # 1 solution to this is to adapt a New Style Inmate chair that appears less like a Wheel chair and more like a regular chair.

What kind of carpet should I get for wheelchair use?

My carpet in the bedrooms and hallway is the original carpet (16 years old). it is a plush or cut pile. My husband is a quadriplegic in a motorized wheelchair. He is very tough on all types of floors. We have burber in the living room and dining room and it seems to wear well. I would like to try frieze. He tends to mash and twist the carpet, especially when turning into a doorway. Will the frieze mat down quickly?

go with laminate flooring.
Comes in a variety of colors and styles, is relative inexpensive, looks good and holds up well.
Used often on HGTV show

  • How do you stop from falling out of your wheelchair?

People who use wheelchairs can often be seen using a variety of straps on their bodies . Whether it’s a tiny Velcro strap to hold paralyzed hands in place all day or a chest strap to hold up an ever present limp torso (to prevent the always embarrassing “falling out of your chair” incident), straps in the wc-community are about as common as finding cheap beer at a frat party. They’re everywhere, and they’re honestly kind of annoying. Over the years I’ve had some big spills. Like the one time my sister was pushing me in my manual chair on a bike path. We hit a tiny grassy mound, she pushed me up it, and I gradually rolled back. The only problem was that I forgot my wheelie bars and...
