Try Veteran's Taxi...it is based in Watertown/Newton about 5 miles outside of Boston but they actually run the MBTA "The Ride" service which provides taxi service for disabled/handicapped people in place of public transportation. So they definately have accessible taxis just give them a call. Look it up in the yellow pages or citysearch.

Hi, I really don't know where to start on this, ok here it goes my parents are devorced because of certain things my dad done out of the family home.
Anyway my mum took him back again and again he done it again, my mum chucked him out of the house last June and I begged her to let him stay until he could find a place, but before then he had a stroke in September last year.
He has got a very bad attitude problem he is nasty to everyone he talks too, about 3 weeks ago my dad had an argument with my mum cos with him being in a wheelchair he gets frustrated and angry and my mum ran into me with the wheelchair, which partly my fault because I was too busy looking else where.
Anyway we got back and my dad had ago at my mum for running me over and my mum was sooo upset she was in tears, so they haven't spoken since then he also had ago at me aswell of course I look after him, too and tonight I couldn't find my check book to pay for the pizzas we had ordered for tea tonight and he tore a strip off me accussing me of lying and for loosing it.
Now he won't speak to me and my mum has told him to get out and he has said fine, I don't want him to go but I can't put up with him being so nasty to me, cos after all I do look after him all thru the day and am unable to work because I am looking after him.
I do feel sorry for him having a stroke but he will pick on me all the time like for example tonight!!!
I said to him Dad I have found the check and I have written it out, so he didn't say anything and then before he accussed me of being a liar and am not, so really I don't know what else to say to him because obviously he thinks and he is accussing me of lying.
You know am disabled my self and I am trying to look for a part time job so I still will be able to do some stuff for him before I goto work.
Here is another thing my mum leaves home at 06.45am and she doesn't get back home until 7.10pm and I usually give her a lift to the station and then pick her up because she has a bad leg it is something to do with her back and save her walking from the very bottom of the car park I would drop her off right outside the platform, now my dad has had a few cracks about that me having to get up so early now my mum won't let me take her to the station.
Any advice please thanks and no nasty comments please
hiya, you are getting the brunt of it because you are with him most of the time.some people who have had a stoke, can't help it, when they are nasty with every one.its not there fault,as its to do with the stroke.and believe me, i know how hurt full they can be.but deep own, that person loves you to bits.they get so frustrated, because they can't do things for them self, like they use to.it makes them very angry.the only place he could go to, if your mum kick him out,and that would be a care CENTRE,or a care home.and they cost a lot of money each week.i can understand how your mum feels,as he as hurt her big time, before he had the stroke.and know she as got to look after him.when he hurt her so bad.there is nothing you can do,except carry on looking after your dad,he will not change his ways,he can't even if he wanted to.just don't take any notice of him, when he starts shouting, and having a go at you.walk into another room, till he carmes down.don't leave your mum out,she is the one that as to keep the house going, and i should think she as got her own pains, with her bad back/leg.so try and be there for her,and let her know you love her.i hope every think turns out ok for you.take care.xx

Wheel Chair Platform Lift | Chair Lifts for Stairs
If you rely on a wheel chair and live in a home with stairs, you know what a challenge it can be to navigate your living space. Fortunately, there are a variety of different solutions to help you achieve mobility independence.
If you are in a wheel chair, there are three different types of chair lifts to consider installing in your home: an elevator lift, a wheel chair platform lift and a stair chair lift. Wheel chair platform lifts may be preferred by many, nor extensive structural remodeling.
A wheel chair platform lift allows a person to easily move between house levels without having to leave the comfort of their chair. They can be installed directly on any stairway with a wall, and they are quite solid and safe to use when properly sized, installed and maintained. Most wheel chair stair lifts can fold away when not in use, so they do not create any obstacles or blockage on the staircase they are installed on. Of course, local building codes and safety considerations need to be taken fully into account before installation, and you will generally need a professional contractor with experience in stair lifts to make sure that it is installed correctly and safely.
