I built one for a guy in houston 25 yrs ago it was more of a stde car platform with the steering controls moved over to it he just pulled his chair up on it locked it dowm then controlled it from there

I'm a disabled guy & plan to make some modifications to my power-wheelchair. Is there anyone who knows how to fit in a motorcycle engine or any kind of suitable engines into a power-wheelchair? I need to replace my battery as it keeps giving me problems which is quite unconvenient especially when I'm on the road.. & it's really really slow(slower than an average human walking speed).
Anyone with informations regarding the modifications will be a great help to me.

They generally make motorized wheelchairs fairly weak on power so that you don't accidentally flip them over or run people down with them.
Plus you won't be able to use it indoors if you put a gasoline motor on it.
If you are just going to use it outside - your best bet would be to get the motor (and possibly some other drive train components) from a ride-on lawnmower (or just buy a ride-on lawnmower, and take the blades, etc. off of it).
Rigging it up is either a skill you have, or don't have - I can make just about anything work - but I would have to actually see the chair you have in order to point you in the right direction.

What irritates me is that when the reckless ones who refuse to wear helmets survive their traumatic brain injuries they end up on Medicaid so we get t support them for the rest of their lives with our tax dollars. Yup, they have the freedom to not wear a helmet, the guvmint should stay outta their lives. Do we have the freedom to say, too bad if you can't pay for your round the clock care for the rest of your life?

Phil, who lost a leg after a motorcycle accident, and wheelchair user Simon have both had to prove to UK motorsport’s governing body, the MSA, their fitness to compete. It’s been a sometimes tortuous process but each has now passed the ARDS test and has earned his track licence.
Their Golfs have DSG semi-automatic gearboxes with steering wheel-mounted gearchange paddles. Phil’s has specially adapted foot pedals while Simon’s additionally features a hand-operated throttle and brake. Much of the track preparation work was completed by RacingLine.
