I just think its too nice to waste just sitting in the garage when someone else could use it for a better quality of life,, I have tried free Craigs list and no hits at all, is there somewhere else free for people who are really needing this ,thanks,,

Hey i was declared unable to work for a year ago. partly because of walking problems. Do i have right for money support to get a disabled mobility scooter or power chair.

I have 3 people very close to me whom have lost mobility in their legs due to accidents and amputations of both legs due to diabetes. First person is a man in his 50's; due to an accident is paralized from the neck down with no medical insurance nor employed at the time of accident. Resides in PA. Second person is a man in his 40's; had both legs amputated due to diabetes and desperately needs a power chair to regain his independence and dignity. Has no medical insurance and no income at this point. Resides in the Dominican Republic. The third person is a young man in his early 30's who is paralized from the waist down due to an accident; has no medical insurance. Desperately needs constant medical care and support. He also resides in the Dominican Republic.

for those of you with mobility disabilities-do you prefer a scooter with the handle bar or the chair like a hoverround
Many people that use scooters/chairs SHOULD AND DO drive cars

Depends on your mode of transport. A good power chair, NOT a Hoveround, is a better option for people who use public transit or have accessible vehicles. They are smaller and typically more customizable.


If you need something that goes into the trunk of a car, then a scooter is a better choice.
