and after about 5 minutes my back and rear really hurts,thank you Willow for telling me about pressure cushions but i have tried memory foam and that doesn,t work,if sheepskin does work where will i buy a piece and will it be expensive?

You ask for a synthetic fleece pad or a synthetic sheepskin pad at the chemist or disabled living shop.

If you buy from disabled living shop and you have a specific disability which you obviously do, they knock off the vat.

I presume you are UK based?

How was I going to get past them? “Come on think” I said. Then it hit me. I went to my collection of varnished, hardened pooh and chose my favourite piece. Collecting my excrement and baking it in the oven had been one of my favourite pastime. The particular piece that I had chosen was a work of art. It was pale in colour but strong in odour and it had the added bonus of containing fragments of nuts which gave it an interesting texture. I placed the turd onto the seat of my wheelchair and sent it down the lift with a note to distract the yobs whilst I made my escape. While the youths were trying to figure out why the hell a wheelchair with a pooh on the seat and a note saying “life’s a cabaret boys” had just come down the lift, I dragged my deformed body to the garbage chute and exited the building.

I landed with a thud and was covered with rancid household waste but at least I was out of the flat. I was now stuck inside a skip at the bottom of the garbage chute. Luckily I had been working on my upper body strength for some time, so pulling myself out of the skip was not an issue.

The hooligans were now riding around the car park on my mobility scooter at full velocity. How was I going to get my beloved wheelchair back? I thought. I needed a way to hit those swine’s where it hurt. Ah ha! It suddenly dawned on me. They had my beloved wheelchair so I’ll take their beloved Staffordshire bull terrier '******' as a bargaining tool. (Yes not very politically correct I know, but it’s not my choice of name. I’m just giving you a bit of gritty realism here.)

Luckily I have the ability to scream at such a high frequency that it’s only detectable by dogs and cats. I let out my screech and low and behold ****** let go of the leather seat cushion he was savaging and looked in my direction.

Now if you remember my head was coated in mashed potato so when he saw this he immediately came running over to me for a taste! Of course, I hadn't really thought this through because as he came running, I saw the raw animal instincts in his eyes. Oh dear too late, he leapt at me and clamped his jaws round my skull. This wasn't what I had planned. Now the yobs won’t take me seriously, how can I negotiate returning their mutt if it’s attacking me? I looked like an utter fool.

I was being shaken about like a rag doll for a good 5 minutes before any of the louts had noticed me “at last” I thought.
"Look ******'s attacking that freak who lives in the flats, let’s have a closer look in-it" said one of Burberry clad the teenagers.
"Hello my friends" I said whilst attempting to regain my composure. “I have something which may be of interest to you.” (Using my quick wit I remembered what I had in my rucksack.)
"What’s that then?" said one of the thugs.
"Cocaine my friend.” If you want it then you must return my wheelchair at once." I replied.
"Let’s see it then" he asked.
"Here, now return my belongings and you may have it, there's plenty here for all of you." "Yeah alright, you got a deal mate" he agreed.
Hoping they’d have pity on an old fool I asked for one more favour “Please help me back onto my wheelchair" I whimpered. With that they grabbed me by the throat and slung me onto my beloved chair. "Here" I said "have a good night boys." As the ruffians all scrambled over each other to get their fair share I made my way off to the docks.

Well, basically Jelly Beans and sausage garbage pails are the main problem here, it's clear you don't have a clue about bicycles and know nothing of outer (or indeed, inner) space, so I won't bore you with the fundamentals. Potholing can be a serious sport - unlike water skiing, which is just FUNNY! - but the leaving behind of your goldfish was a silly thing to do when you only had one arrow left in your quiver.
It's one thing to want your father resurrected but another to want him to have an opinion about it. He wasn't the one who shot J.R. anyway, was he? A life less, or more, ordinary is what you crave and, by golly, you shall have it, if I know anything about it.
Just don't let sky-diving put you off, if it's any consolation, once you've done it once, you won't want to return to the skies anyway. Unlike that eagle you have concealed in your undercrackers!
Don't give up, and keep the squirrels out of the hedgerows...

My dad's horse struck something with its rear leg near the hoof. I believe this is the plantar cushion area between the first Phalanx second Phalanx above the hoof on the inside of the leg. I am not familiar with the names of the specific locations on a horse's leg.

It appears to be a puncture (possibly from a nail in the barn wall). It bleeds at a steady rate without pressure. With direct pressure, the bleeding occludes and remains stopped until the horse begins to move about. Within 15 minutes after walking around, the bleeding tends to return.

I am unfamiliar with horse anatomy, so I do not know if this is a minor vascular area that will show with a lot of blood from a minor laceration. Nor, do I know if it is a major vascular area that could result in major blood loss over a long period of time.

We have wrapped the area with an ACE type bandage and clean absorbent material saturated in antibacterial solution. The bleeding has not returned within the last hour.

Mobility of the leg and foot appear normal. She does not limp nor favor the leg or foot. She does not like us messing with it.

My questions:
1. Should a minor laceration in this area be of great concern?
2. Is this a vascular area that will show minor injury with bleeding?
3. Any suggestions on stopping the bleeding if it should return?
4. Any suggestions short of calling a vet?

These are structures within the hoof. Any puncture wound that goes into the hoof is a serious injury.

Infections are common, and the resultant swelling and pus have nowhere to go. THe pain can be excruciating for the horse. If not treated promptly, internal damage is very likely.

The horse should be checked out, probably given antibiotics and bute (an antiimmflamatory and analgesic). A tetanus shot is also very much a necessity - unlike humans, horses need them if they haven't had one within 3 months of the injury!

I have a horse with some kind of similar injury which occured before I got him. He recently had surgery for an infection of the coffin bone, with associated necrosis. It's a struggle.

Don't just let this go. You could lose the horse.

Let me start off saying that I handled the situation the wrong way. I know what I did was wrong.

2+ weeks ago I punched something out of anger. I obviously do not know how to throw a punch and I messed up my ring and pinky fingers on my right hand. My hand immediately started swelling. A few days later you could see a big bruise. The bruise covered my middle, pinky and ring finger knuckles, down the pinky side of my hand and it covered the top portion of my hand down to my wrist.

A little more than two weeks later and I am still swollen. Not as bad as before, but very noticeable. It's mainly my ring, pinky and side of my hand that is swollen. The worst part being the pinky and side. I have full mobility of my hand and fingers.

Due to financial issues I elected to not see a doctor assuming it would heal on its own. Instead I went to a chiropractor buddy of mine that did two x-rays. One x-ray was of my hand resting on the x-ray film palm down. The other was the side of my hand (pinky side) resting on the film at a 45 degree angle. Initially (before the x-rays) he looked at it and said that it was broken. After the x-rays he said there were not any breaks or fractures.

That was Wednesday of last week (today being Saturday night). However, I still have pain in my pinky knuckle, down the side of my hand and into my wrist. There is a point on the bottom of my hand (pinky side, toward the wrist) where it hurts. It doesn't feel like the tissue hurts, but the bone. Also, if you look at my hand (especially compared to the other hand) you can see that the knuckle on my pinky is higher up (when looking straight down at the top of my hand) than the other hand. It would think it was from the swelling, but i can feel my knuckle right under the skin without any cushioning in between. The knuckle also looks as if it's further back (toward the wrist) that the other hand. I can make the knuckle itself pop and it feels like my pinky knuckle is shifting to where my ring finger's knuckle is...I could never do that before. Quite frankly, my hand doesn't look right, as if my pinkie's knuckle is misplaced. Even the chiropractor just looked at it for a few seconds and said it was broken before taking x-rays.

So I already had the x-rays done by my chiropractor. I'm not trying to belittle the guy, but sometimes he seems confused or stumped, like he doesn't know what is going on. Keep in mind he is a chiropractor, but I imagine a break or fracture would be fairly easy to recognize. I asked him if I should ice it and he said there wouldn't be a point considering the injury occurred 2 weeks ago.

Should I trust his judgement and move on, or should I go see a doctor considering my hand just looks wrong and it's been over 2 weeks?

If not broken, then what could it be? Should I splint it? Ice it?
In case anyone is wondering. I went to the doctor and I indeed did break my hand. It turns out that the chiropractor was looking at the knuckles and fingers when I broke it more down toward the wrist. Thank you for all the help.

first of all, u shud see a doctor.
your fingers might be broken by the way u describe it, maybe your buddy cant see the break clearly as the way u described ur fingers make me think that it is fracture where the bone breaks but then it compressed on each other n is very hard to be diagnosed by inexperience people. Could be your muscles sore, or maybe due to the compression between your bones, it causes pain to your joints and cause it to swell.

After all, u should see a doctor, get it checked before u experience joint deformity.
