Mattress Cushion

My daughter is now 8 months old and shes too big to sleep in the bed part of the play pen. So now I have to take off the top portion and just let her sleep in the play pen because i can't afford a crib at this moment, but because the bottom portion of the playpen is so hard to sleep on, i was wondering if their was a mattress designed especially for playpens.

I don't think their is, but what I did is that I went to walmart, and in the craft and fabric department, I bought a big roll of foam, and cut it to fit the play pen, and it made it much softer, I must have spent like $10 - $15.
Their are mattresses for portable cribs, if you have a babies r us close to you, go and check to see it would fit the type of playpen you have, those are only like $20.

I cant stand the full foamed bed, it feels like I am being sucked into the bed.
But most people are like in love with them.

Its mainly just the tempurpedic or whatever, I guess.

I like the soft cushion mattresses, but the all foam drives me crazy.

I don't like them-only slept on one once. I bought just the top of a select comfort mattress which was under $450.00. I love it and also think it keeps the little dust mites at bay. The tops are pillowy and the air in them stays as warm as the room it's in. They're cheaper if you buy the one that just has a push button rather than the number pad. I put mine on top of a pedestal. You can have them made for two but there's a bump in the middle that would be annoying to me. I have a full size with no divide. I love it and every time I go by the stores, I go in and tell anyone who'll listen about how great they are. When company comes over, I ask if they like harder or softer and adjust it for them. They seem pleased.

There are several options, but the most common ones are made out of foam or dense feathers. Either of which you can get at home stores such as Bed Bath & Beyond.

I myself prefer the firm for my back. The support is great.. But you really need to go to the store and lay on them and try them out. There are several types of matresses, and each one is different, so it is best to just see what you like. Matresses are very expensive, so be sure to pick the right one for you!

4 months old, she came to us a month ago. Has taken to sleeping on the entrance hall tiles daytime, out on the balcony night cause it's summertime; spending little time on the mattress and cushions. Is the solution to cover her sleeping area with a rubber cushion floor? Any better ideas?
Dog beds I've examined impress me as hot. 4 month old is 8 kilos. Gonna grow quite large.

sounds like you puppy want to stay cool. is he a double coated breed? I ask because mine is a double thick coated breed and he loves to sleep on the hard tile floor as well. I let him if he is comfortable. at night I put my puppy in a crate and turn the fan on point it at the crate it is the only way he will sleep at night is with the fan on him. a rubber mat may help but will it just make him hotter? my pup will not sleep on his bed or pillow because it is not cool enough the crate floor is cooler. he even wraps himself around the toilet for cool comfort. if your dog is comfortable laying there than so be it. why fix what isn't broken?
