Help. The snow is too high to get out. Help. Will you buy me a van with a wheelchair lift? Oh, will you pay for the insurance too? Oh, will you also pay for the upkeep of it? Never mind. I just had to ask I am going nuts with this hard Michigan weather. Boo hoo.

We have a Rascal power wheelchair. We need to know what type(s) of vehicles we can put a power lift into. My mother, age 80, will be driving so would like as small a vehicle as possible.

I don't know where you live...but put in your search engine "carlift" and check the list.
Something will be in your area. and you can get more proper advice from experts.:)

my doctor gave me a prescription for a wheelchair lift will medicare pay for 80% of it?

The first link is to the Americans with Disabilities Act website. The second is to Medicare.

I am assuming you qualify for medicare - but with the new laws - I'd let ADA or the medicare site - or AARP, with a strong advocacy involvement - third link - these sites will have the most up-to-date info.

That depends if the van is included and in working condition.
the lift alone... not much.
Already installed in a vehicle that runs... a lot more.
