Do electric wheelchair motors need the controller?

I'm building a tank-like robot, and i'm buying a pair of wheelchair motors. I was wondering if these motors require the motor controller that was originally on the wheelchair? I'm going to buy some controllers for the tank (that control the flow of electricity from an input signal given by the remote). Would these controllers need to be linked through the original controller or just to the motors?

It depends what you want to achieve.
For sure the motor controllers provide a great deal of things you want, but reverse engineered-it to modify it for your goal may be quite a challenge.
It’s like asking do you need a transmission on a car.
There are many vehicles like lawn mowers and tractors that do not have a transmission!

Hope this properly answers your question

I am doing a photo shoot and need to know how to set up lighting for a wheelchair?

I just need to know how to set up my lights. I have 3 photogenics and I don't want the lights to show up in the reflection of the wheelchair.

You have to set up the correct lighting for the person in the chair!

To minimise reflections from metal parts of the chair, go to the camera store. Here you can buy a 'spray' which will dull the look of metal and so minimise reflections.

If you are just photographing a chair, can you do this in a 'white tent'? Or photograph it in a room with white walls and point your lights to the walls and photograph the chair just by the 'bounced' light.

I need plans on how to build a Bunny Cart/Wheelchair for my Rabbit?

My bunny is a flemish giant at 17lbs. He was taken to the vet for absesses on his back leg that turned out to be cancerus. The vet has to take the leg off to save him. Does anyone know where i can find plans to build/make a bunny cart/wheelchair for a extra large bunny? I need these to be simple and easy to build. I only have acess to a home depot.

You should probably have the rabbit put to sleep. You might be able to build a wheelchair, but think about the poor rabbit's quality of life. It's selfish to keep the rabbit alive and suffering just so you can still have a pet.

Has anyone taken a wheelchair with them on vacation to donate to a resident in need?

We have a child's manual wheelchair that our daughter has outgrown. We are travelling to the D.R. (vacation) in Feb. Would like to take this chair with us for someone who needs it. Wondering if anyone has done this before?
They don't weigh it when we are travelling with our daughter. I will contact them ahead of time and see what their policy is regarding donations. Hopefully, no charge.

Very good idea. It would go along with your check-in baggage. Hope the airline staff don't weigh it.

I need to find a weekend service including a wheelchair van in santa clara. any help?

we need to transport a senior disabled wheelchair-bound man to a hospital, either today or tomorrow. it's an emergency.

Try calling Accessible Vans of America at 1-800-687-4446 or Wheelers at 1-800-456-1371. They are nationwide wheelchair accessible van rental companies, comparable to Hertz or Enterprise. Otherwise you are going to have to call an ambulance company near Santa Clara.

I have an 18 yo that was born paralyzed from the waist down. We have wanted to take her wiht the rest of the kids to play putt putt and things of that sort. The problem we keep running into is they are not wheelchair acceptable. What would be the best way to address this problem?

*Continuing the discussion from the original post found here . Then, combine the two. Knowing what places are accessible, you can take the family and use creativity to make it fun for everyone. For example, if you find a reasonably accessible mini-golf place, you can also find or make adapted clubs, then tweak the game rules so it is more fair- like no one can go where the chair can’t go. Another level...
