Wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for foot gel pads or foot sole cushions for the balls of the feet to go in high heels? I've tried Scholl Party Feet Gel Cushions but I found they didn't really do much to be honest..any other good ones anyone can think of?
UK suggestions please
Try thick insoles you can buy them here http://www.faith.co.uk/src/googleprod/cu shioned-insoles-prod904300/ .

In the Uk, where sells comfy high heels that arent too expensive? Would it be worth it or should I just get some cheap heels and some of those scholl gel pads?
Not sure about what's sold in the UK. For me, what determines the comfort of the heels is the height and width of the shoe. A 2" heel tends to be more comfortable than anything higher, though I do have a few 4" heels that are quite comfortable. For the 4" heels, I had to get them 1/2 a size larger than I normally wear.
When walking in heels, you really want to put your weight on the balls of your feet. Since you do that, there should be an adequate amount of cushioning there. And there's a difference in support between a stiletto heel, a wedge, etc. So I think it really depends on the style too.
p.s. My most comfortable heels are Sam Edelman Paxton boots with a 4" heel: http://www.lissaayer.com/products/women/ shoes/SAM1001. I hardly had to break them in, and I can wear them all day without a problem.

I have the little gel cushions to put at the tip of my pointe shoe. They work really well but its a hassle to have to position them every time I put my shoes on. They came with little stick-on things but they're not sticky. What do I do to make them stay?
i know what your talking about they are just little cushioning pads that you put down the bottom of the toe. you can leave them there. my shoes actually came with them already glued in so that's what i would suggest that you do. put some super glue on and glue them in. they will be fine. its only your toe pads that you are supposed to air out. good luck.

Do you just use clothes detergent? Or is there a better way? Thanks!
Thanks everyone!
If you're using Ouch Pouch toe pads, you can machine wash them in cold water with your leotards (regular machine soap), then drip dry. These are the only ones I'm familiar with.
Ok doesnt anyone out there know of any high heel shoes that has the gel insert cushions, but permanently installed in the insoles of the shoes...I was wondering why this was never made with shoes?
I think you can google it .
I hope this helps :-)

For background, I am an average runner that runs three to six miles several days a week – 2/3rds of the time on a treadmill and 1/3 of the time outside. Some seasons I kick up the miles for a marathon, but in general running is part of a cross training program. I have traditionally, oscillated between New Balance and Asics, but flirted with other brands.
Asics makes excellent running shoes in general, but at the high end of their range the Kayano and the Nimbus are standouts. Kayanos are best suited for “neutral” runners who have a perfect step and gate. The Nimbus are a bit more forgiving for those of us who run on the outer edge of one or both of our feet. I fall into this category, in that my shoes show wear on the outer edge of one of my heals. Having run in both the Kayano and the Nimbus, I would give the nod to the Nimbus as it provides a little more “support.” (Note – they provide support for running, but next to no lateral support necessary in other sports such as basketball. They are best for running or spending time on your feet all day.)
