and does anything she wants to do when she wants to do it. The problem is, she can't get insurance. She receives a survivor's benefit from ssi, because my father was killed, so that disqualifies her from disability. Every insurance firm turns her down because she makes a mere 2.00 more than she should.
Her wheelchair is 8 years old. She's starting to get drop foot because her feet dont sit right in it. The gel cushion for her behind is busted. Her tires have absolutely no tread left. She cannot afford a new chair, due to medical expenses for my diabetic brother.
My husband and I would like to hold a benefit to raise money for a new chair. I don't even know how to go about it. Any ideas? Any at all. Thank you!
You need to contact an "Independent Living Center". Independent Living Centers are not living facilities. Rather, the provide services and programs to individuals with disabilities to allow them to remain independent in the privacy of their own home.
There are grants and funding resources available to people who have specific needs met but cannot afford it due to being on a fixed income. Also they can tell her what other kinds of benefits she may be eligible for.
I work for an ILC in the "Information & Referral Department". You can find your local center by going to this website: http://www.ilru.org/html/publications/di rectory/

well dont use the scented pads and if anything lay off the feminine was and use a gentle soap like baby shampoo or dove even just plain water until you can see a doctor..no one can tell you exactly what that might be over the net but it may just be an ingrown hair usually called boils..it will eventually go away within a few days but if it doesnt please go see a doctor..i know you dont want to but if it doesnt just go..if you say you havent had sex then its probably an ingrown hair especially if you shave or anything like that but try not to worry and give it a few days and abstain from any sexual contact...take care!

Hi! First troubled by these by this about 5 years since and nothing till now. What can I say? I'm a chef, lots of stress, eating at odd hours and too much chocolate. Just bought Preparation H gel and wipes (toilet paper is suddenly brutal!). Definitely spend too many hours in front of this damned thing too!- though I now accessorise my swivel chair with a cushion! How long before I can expect to be rid of these and has anyone any USEFUL comments? I don't really go a bundle on my inside bits coming out: this is however incredibly funny when you read about it in Viz. (Ha! Ha!)
Actually I drink very rarely and only began drinking occasionally at age of 21. Could cut out that no problem but chocolate is harder. I do eat wholemeal pasta and bread and plenty of fruit. Stress is biggest factor: used to get panic attacks, spent 5 years on Seroxat and during that time panic attacks morphed into Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which probably triggered this. I do have a hot, relaxing bath most nights that I work just because of the number of hours I spend on my feet. I hope to be able to avoid any kind of procedure if possible by correcting my lifestyle. Very conscious I'm not running/swimming as much as I used to and that is something I do need to sort out.
Just been to the BUPA and CORE websites. I think I have what I need to know now. I don't think this is yet irreversible if I sort myself out and I think banding and operations are meant for more advanced cases. Mine is not the most severe case thought they are external. At least being external, I know for sure that it's that giving me discomfort and nothing else. Thanks everyone for your advice.
Lot of fruit, lots of vegetables, lots of fibre, cut down big time on the booze (you're a chef...i know you drink too much!) exercise more.
Basically sort your shit out...you know what you are doing is wrong. Your anus is like a thermometer for the body...if you are treating it in-correctly then your bum hole will be warning you to sort it.

5 benefits that only a gel seat cushion can provide – Gel Seat Cushion
A gel cushion can be the answer to a number of your daily traveling routines; it can offer you the maximum possible comfort at reasonable prices. If you are thinking of investing in a gel seat cushion, then go through the list I have complied after having used them personally for many years. While the results may vary from person to person, I can assure you that once you buy a gel cushion you won’t have to compromise on traveling comfort ever again.
It is advisable for people who have health problems such as spondylitis, hemorrhoids, low back pain, leg numbness, degenerative hip disease as well as other disorders that put a lot of pressure on the lower spine and the back. It is an assistive device that has been recommended by a number of medical professionals to people who have back ache as well as for those who travel a lot, regardless of the state of their back since pressure for extended periods can cause you to develop back problems later in life.
