I will only be able to stand on one foot.
To fold most of the wheel chairs, grab the middle of the seat at the front and the back of the seat then pull up. Everything will collapse in neatly. You may be able to remove the foot rest by moving the lever at the attachment point.
You should look into aluminum chairs as they are much lighter than the normal ones. You should be able to maintain your balance and lift it into the trunk.

My parents need a new vehicle but it needs to have the capability to have a folded wheelchair stood up in the back cargo area. They currently have a Mercury Villager that works great but it is very old (150,000 miles). Any suggetions?
The best vehicle will be one with a sliding door or powered liftgate that can offer the door clearance and flexible seat configuration that can accommodate the chair and other accessories.
One of the best vehicles is the Ford Flex. It has the largest and most comfortable passenger cabins available and the powered liftgate offers a great option for stowing the wheelchair whether it's behind the 3rd row or laid atop the 3rd row when knocked flat. For ingress/egress, the Flex is unbeatable.
An excellent alternative would be a sliding-door minivan. One of the most flexible and inexpensive, is the Ford Transit Connect which can carry from 2-5 passengers and accommodate a full-sized chair intact without collapsing. Other minivans like the Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, Honda Odyssey, and Toyota Sienna are other more expensive and traditional van options.
Best of luck. I hope this helps.
As in the 2003 and later model of the Nissan Micra, the one with a bigger behind and rounder front. I know the rear seats slide forward, but I would need two people sitting at the back as well. Does anyone have oneor know someone that does , that could help me please. Thank you.
it won`t

A detailed look at Scooter Wheelchair
