I have to sit at a desk for several hours a day, and the chair doesn't support my lower back at all. The pain is severe now. I have scoliosis in my upper back and have had lower back problems off and on for years.

I'd like to find a good ergonomic cushion so I can take it everywhere with me. There are so many to choose from. I'd like one that gives maximum support to the lower back. Any suggestions?

there are a million options, but the best is to find a comfortable chair, with some pressure against the low back, set your computer and work items directly in front of you on the desk, and adjust the height to a comfortable level. Take a 3 minute break each 30 minues and walk around (on some errand), stretch and ease the tension.

the real answer will come by becoming a gym rat, working out daily for the first 6 months to strengthen your core stabilizers and loosen the areas of tightness in the spine.After that, you won't be happy unless you work out at least three times weekly.

I have fibromyalgia and driving causes me a lot of pain, but my job requires a lot of driving. I can't seem to find a good car seat cushion to help. All the ergonomic (sp?) cushions seem to be for your back, not your butt, which is where my pain is. Any ideas? I'm already using support gloves for my hands and wrists so it doesn't hurt so much to keep my hands on the steering wheel, but my hip joints keep locking up.

Go and get some 'memory foam' cut it to size and sit on it while driving. If its good enough for NASA and Astronauts, reckon it will be good enough for you, unless you are pulling extra G Forces?

I drive 300+ miles a week, and it's taking a toll on my back and legs. Whenever I step out of my car for driving over an hour my hips lock up. My compact car is low to the ground (I'm 5'8"), and I usually get stuck in stop-and-go traffic.

I've called the dealership and gone to car parts stores...but I can't find the PERFECT cushion(s) to make my driving easier. I bought a foam wedge, but it's starting to flatten out already.

What are some good products to use for long-distance driving? Are there any good websites out there? Any suggestions would help because no one else seems to have an answer for me.

If you have a chiropractor they can get you access to a special line of products. You might also try one of those car seat massagers, they'll keep your muscles loose and keep a smile on your face while you are driving.

I really need a good desk chair. I do medical transcription on the computer (I work at home) and I've got to find a better chair--my back is killing me from my tailbone to my neck and shoulders. I don't slouch.

I have now what looks like a great chair; high-back and cushioned all the way up, no space between the back and the seat of the chair, arm rests, and wheels. I can adjust the height of the chair, but I feel no better at one height than another.

My neck will fall off if I don't find something better. Even getting up every half hour doesn't work. I'm in good physical shape otherwise. What do you suggest, and where can I get one?

These chairs are not cheap, but will live up to your requirements.
