Electric Wheelchair Ramp

I have a handicapped brother who is in a wheelchair and needs a van with an air conditioner unit that works and that already has an electric ramp on it as my brother doesn't walk, and is 29 years old. The van my parents had was old and the air conditioner didn't work. Please if anybody knows of a van or car lot that sells these vans let me know asap. Thank you sooooo much! Anywhere in Fresno or Hanford Ca. would be fine.

I think you have to buy one first then get one installed somewhere that does that type of thing.

is it a big ramp or a little ramp, wood may be more appropriate if it is a long run

Have electric wheelchair with three huge steps in front of bldg. super refuses to give me the key to leave via the basement ramp and owners refuse to build ramp because the bldg is old enough not to be required. Am totally dependant upon roommate to help but he's not always there.

That it ILLEGAL! Call your local Housing authority and get some action. I'm not sure where you live, but here you need to have handicap accessible bldgs, walkway and everything

Hello I wonder if anyone can help. Me and my boyfriend are looking to get a place together. We're only 18 and he lives in USA and I in S. Wales, UK but we are both very serious about living together over the next year. We realise buying a flat would be virtually impossible as house prices these days are insane with £100,000 a minimum so renting seems the best option. I just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction where to look as we want a rough guide so we know how much we need to start saving. One crucial thing though is I'm disabled in the sense that I can't walk so would need adaptations in the home like ramps for my electric wheelchair, rails etc so does anyone know what procedures I'd have to take to get everything in place?

It will also guide you to estate agents in the various areas.

Probably worth speaking to local council planning dept about alterations such as ramps etc to establish if any planning permssion is needed and also if any grants are available for that type of work.

If you dont ask, you dont get & the worst that can happen is they say no.
