Doll Wheelchair

I've been looking for an american girl doll wheelchair and the one the american girl doll stores are selling are ridiculously expensive. So I found one on buildabear.com

How Katie Doll goes from bed to wheelchair every day.

I already have the American Girl doll wheelchair and a sew able walker for my doll, but the My Twinn one looks more realistic. I'm trying to create a realistic doll I might be able to display in my future classroom to talk about with students.

Edit: I do have the American Girl doll wheelchair! Honest (as stated in original detail). I want one that's -realistic- or at least looks more so, which is why I like the one from the My Twinn dolls.

American Girl Dolls are 18 inches in height. The dolls at My Twin are usually 20 or 21 inches in height. What I have usually found is that clothing from My Twinn fits long on the American Girl dolls. I figure the doll would probably fit in the chair but it may seem a little large.

I do have another suggestion. American Girl used to make another Wheel Chair that was blue with black seat fabric. You can probably find one affordably on Ebay.

ETA: Looking at the dimensions of the chair on MyTwinn I believe that your doll should fit OK. AMAZING it looks like the one I rode in when I broke my leg! And on sale right now for $34.oo it is a great price!

OK, so, sometimes I like to make dolls of my roleplay characters, just as something to do in my spare time. One of my favorite characters in one of my favorite roleplays that I am currently in is in a wheelchair and is an extremely integral part of the roleplay. I wanted to make a doll of her but I can't seem to find a doll maker online (just the little doll sites, not a real doll) that has wheelchairs in it. It kind of makes me sad, especially because one of my best friends is in a wheelchair and she wanted a doll of herself as well. So, if anyone knows of even a semi-good doll maker online where you can make dolls in wheelchairs, please tell me. Thanks.

thanks for the help.. but i remember there always being one girl who was in a wheelchair in the magazines.. i don't know if it was because she got "hurt" or something, but i do remember it wasn't just the wheelchair by itself, there was one particular girl who was always in it, even when there was a slumber party. I don't know maybe i'm wrong, but either way thanks for the help, i appreciate it. :)

None of the dolls came in a wheelchair. You could send in the dolls to be fixded, and they mail you back a wheelchair, balloons, hospital gown, and some other stuff. Or you can pay the 25 dollars and buy just a wheelchair.

The doll was just 'modeling' in the wheelchair, to show you what your doll would look like. : )

My daughter who is five is confined to a wheel chair.She has a doll that she takes everywhere with her. A few days ago she said she wanted her doll to have a wheelchair like her. Any idea where I would get one? Or would it be better to have one made? Thanks in advance.

If you are a 15 year old girl, how do you have a 5 year old daughter?
