Can a non-disabled person get into a wheelchair area at a concert?

I have been given two wheelchair area tickets for a concert. The disabled person who bought them and his companion cannot make it.
Will I have any problems using them? I am not disabled.

Depends on the specific venue. In some places if one person is not using a wheelchair they will not be allowed to be seated, while in other places the seats are for people with disabilities - including non wheelchair users. One of your seats may not be a seat at all- but an empty bit of floor. I have been in more than one place where non chair users without a chair using companion were not allowed to stay.

What are you going to do if there is one traditional seat and next to it is a place where a seat was removed for a chair-user? Is one of you going to sit on the floor? Stand the whole time? I don't think so.

What would be the best companion dog for a wheelchair bound person?

Preferably a lazy and loveable dog that can deal with not being walked everyday. One that would be easy to train to use puppy pads or newspaper to use the bathroom. She also cant lift a heavy dog to do things like grooming or bathing so maybe something small to medium.
Cats are out of the question because she is allergic to them
She isnt really looking for a work dog. What she really needs is a companion dog that likes to be held and loved on. I have looked into small therapy dogs but the prices are outrageous.
Sorry for the confusion. I didnt mean she would need the dog to use pads all the time. Just during the night and perhaps during bad weather. She intends to have a dog door put in that leads to a fenced yard.

I suggest a Mi-ki, they were originally bred to be therapy dogs, are very small and sweet. They love to just cuddle up in someone's lap and just sleep. They are about 10 pounds and they do have a lot of hair, so will need to be brushed. All my customers that have one, keep it long still and just trim up the face and feet and sanitary. Their coat is rather easy to brush, so this breed would be perfect.

Are there any programs out there that will help my elderly disabled mother with homecare?

My mother is 78 years old and an amputee in a wheelchair. She doesn't want to go into a nursing home but she can't be alone all day either. Nursing homes cost money as well. The cheapest home health companion would cost $800 a month; her social security wouldn't even cover that. Could medicaid or any other programs out there help?

If you live in the U.S., then check with your Local Area Agency on Aging to see what programs are available in the area where your mom lives. She may qualify for Medicaid in her state; and there may be other programs and agencies that could help her as well. It helps if she can work with a case manager who can find out what she needs to stay at home and then help her apply for programs.

You can use the ElderCare Locator to find your local Area Agency on Aging or other programs for your mom:

You might also be able to find help through the United Way Information and Referral phone service: Dial 2-1-1 from a local phone.

How much does a professional live in Health Aid cost?

I have a disabled brother with Nero-Sarcoidosis. I need to hire a Live-In professional care taker, a Health Aid or Companion will do. She or he will basically be entrusted to partially assist him getting dressed in the morning and undress in the evening, help him get up when he seldom falls., cook, serve him as needed, drive him to his destinanions, help him get out the car and into the weelchair and put the wheelchair back in the car.

He sould qualify for medicaid, I think they pay $300 a month and I pay the rest to find a caretaker. But aproximatly how much is a profesional Companion or Health Aid for him?

Secondly, In case the care taker is ill or out for what ever reason includind day off, can he get an IMEDIATE fill in untill the care taker is back or a replacement is found?

The fee should cover him 24/7, don't forget he will get medicaid. e will be moving either to Miami or Henderson Nevada.

You want someone 24/7? I hope you are rich!
