I was looking into the "Gel G Seat Comfort Cusion GSeat Orthopedic" cushion. It is expensive, so I assume it should provide the best relief. Do you have any opinions on this cushion? Hi, They are called toppers and come in a variety of materials such as memory foam, egg crate foam or natural latex. You can also get a feather bed topper and there are also down alternative ones. A topper is great for softening a firm mattress that is still in good condition. If I were you, I would call a reputable mutual fund company on the phone: Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Janus, etc. They will be able to make a recommendation for you based on your situation / risk adversion.
For example, they may suggest a money market fund, which doesn't change in value but pays dividends monthly, or they may suggest a value mutual fund that has a low risk and small dividend.
