13 year old boy in a wheel chair. he has limited use of his hands and arms. He is able to see and talk, and is very good with math.
It's hard to know from the way the question is worded whether the boy has expressed interest in helping the team, or whether he is in a physical education class that is playing football, and the teacher is trying to include him. If he wants to help the team, he could track their statistics (number of passes completed etc). But if he's in a class that's playing football, I would suggest that they play flag football in the gym - he could either push himself, or someone could push him, and he could participate directly in the game.

I was thinking about getting one to give me more mobility when I play video games
I am working on exactly this question with some of my clients in wheelchairs.
The easy answer is yes, as long as you can grip the controller, move your arm, and work the buttons.
The Wii controller is difficult to modify otherwise. Most websites for disabled gamers suggest using a PS3 or other format.
I will try to help if you let me know what prevents you from going ahead with the idea. (If you are just unsure if it will work, get it from a place that offers a return grace period and try it out!)
what do u think? i think its kinda insensitive n its poking fun at people with such a condition.
she will be sitting on a wheelchair which she 'borrowed' from the school janitor, her limbs will be like twisted in awkward angles, her head tilted 45 degrees with tongue stuck out, n she's gonna speak in slur.
This is highly offensive and I would ask that you distance yourself from this "friend" while she is dressed up in this vulgar way.

Media dis&dat: Climbers abandon wheelchair-using friend halfway up ...
I have studied the media for almost 20 years and this blog is about my research interest: the media and disability. The media have real power to define what the public knows about disability and that's what I investigate. I am also a writer and media watcher. In addition, I want to use this blog to create a database of media stories on disability topics from around the world.
