Bed Wheelchair

i'm taking a CNA class and need ideas for a presentation for transffering patients from bed to wheelchair and vice versa. If you have any info please let me know thanks!

If you are going from the bed you would first have to sit the patient upright by placing your arm under their knee area, with other arm under their shoulder area, twist them and sit them up. Keep in mind this has to be a person who can sit up, and then ALWAYS transfer toward the strong side, ex ; stroke people are always weak on one side, do not transfer toward that side. Place the wheel chair at a 90 degree angle( alwaya lock brakes) when the person is sitting on side of bed, put a gait belt around their waist. Place your knee in between theirs, with one to the outside of theirs. grab the sides of the belt under their ribs but on the back side of them. Tell them EVERYTHING you are doing as you are doing it!!! Then pick them up telling them to stand, and place them gently in chair.
One smooth motion. Practice on a friend, Many times first. REMEMBER SAFETY! It depends alot on the condition of the patient, if they use a lift, it is much different. Good luck!
Also it is just the opposite going from the chair. but the sides of the chair can be removed to help you. Utilize every mechanical shortcut possible. Make sure that you keep in mind if the patient is weight bearing use a walker. Always promote independance while helping safely. Use a gait belt, it will save your back and their shoulders!

I would suggest to buy your own Honey. Make sure though that it is Manuka honey. Manuka honey is the most potent and has the greatest natural antibiotic properties. You can buy Manuka honey online as it is from New Zealand.

Heres an article about a woman in the United States. She is using honey to heal wounds similar to the ones you describe. Her initial findings on how this works is wonderful.

A "Hoyer" lift is a machine or gadget that is used to help lift the patient from his/her bed to get to the wheelchair. If you have other lift machines that you can suggest, please do so. If you can give me website of companies who sell these products, I will appreciate it very much.

A movie demonstration or illustrated pictures would be good.
The cot is so low and of light structure. In an emergency evacuation to a shelter this can be dangerous for workers and residents.

You ask the wheelchair user how to do it.
There is no "one size fits all" method.

If you're parents are dead, why are you paying their bills? Give the collector the plot numbers as the address and ask them to collect from there. Once they're dead, their debt is not your responsibility.
