Where Can I Rent A Wheelchair Van

Answers

I have a question about scooters and handicapped accessible minivans in Vegas?

Does anyone know where I can rent a scooter and a handicapped accessible minivan in Las Vegas. My mom doesn't walk well and we usually get a wheelchair for her but I think it would be easier on me if we could rent one of those motorized scooters. If anyone knows a scooter rental place and rental car place that has accessible vans, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

For scooters you should contact this company. They specialize in rentals to tourists. I think they run about $40 a day. You can ask them about a van rental. I am not sure about that.

How to move an aging, sick, family member comfortably across the US without breaking the bank?-He Can't Fly.?

I have an older family member and his wife moving in with me.
He is in a wheelchair with heart and other health problems and he can not fly.
He lives about 2500 miles away from me.
A car would be much too uncomfortable for that distance for him, it's going to be a long, hard drive as it is.
We've looked into an RV, but by the time we pay the rental and the gas, we'll be out over 3000.dollars.

We've considered something like a large van or something, but we haven't the slightest idea where you rent something like that.

Does anyone have any ideas that we haven't thought of yet on how to get him here safely and comfortably, but without us having to take out a loan?

Thanks in advance.

check amtrak maybe they have trains to your destination, maybe most of the way then rent a car for the rest.

power wheelchair and no family support? | Wheelchair Vans

Yesterday I received my new power wheelchair. I have severe arthritis and I can’t push myself in a manual chair anymore. I am excited about having a new sense of independence and I will be working on getting a van and putting a ramp in it next spring.

I work for a non-profit and I have a LOT of support from co-workers and friends.

My family haven’t really accepted me and sometimes seem in denial about my limitations. They still treat me like a child, even my sister who is 10 years YOUNGER than me!

I have disabilities, 28 years old, married and I have a full time job, my own apartment and car. I’ve been out on my own for almost 9 years and they still do not treat me like an adult.
