I live in New York and have an moron for a governor, and a president who won't protect my country?

Gov. Patterson was angry when SLN joked about his blindness, now a video of Patterson joking about a wheelchair bound blogger has come to light. The President has handcuffed the CIA with rules that mean absolutely nothing to those that mean to do us harm .Remember the beheadings, dragging men behind cars to their death etc.We are in harms way.

The liberal way...talk and befriend your enemy, treat them will respect, apologize for past administrations, but shut out the right wingers, disrespect them, and call them terrorist-radical and dangerous. You are so correct sir...we are in harms way.

What famous characters/ celebrities are in a wheelchair?

I need a Halloween costume that incorporates a wheelchair. So far I've come up with President Roosevelt, Stephen Hawking, and the mad scientist from "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Who else would be a recognizable wheelchair-ridden character?

this might help

What do you think about the concept of someone LOOKING presidential?

There is no denying that many people allow how "presidential" someone looks to influence their decision on whether or not they will vote for that person. Generally this will be a tall, preferably handsome, aging, white male.
Now, Consider FDR. Roosevelt is regarded as one of our nation's greatest presidents. He was essential in our getting out of the Depression as he created jobs for millions through his Reform policies and determination to take control of the economy even though traditionally the executive branch would take a passive role in letting the market eventually take care of itself. Now, in knowing that, it is often times said that today FDR would not be elected president. Why? Because he was in a wheelchair. In this technological age, where our governmental officials are easily accessible through television and internet, a man in a wheelchair will not be elected president of this country because he does not look like a president. What do you think about that?
Now, consider your favorite in this election. Do you honestly think that you would still vote for him/her if he/she were currently in a wheelchair? Do you think others would? Do you think they would even be considered a front runner? What does that mean for our society as a whole. . .

They gotta look Presidential, or at least sound it, smell and feel not so important.

'In politics there is no place for the prophets' | Caledonian ...

Two years ago Cubans were heartened when President Raúl Castro offered the hope of political and economic reforms. Has he delivered on his reform promise? Some consumer goods that were previously unavailable are now on sale, but how has the privatisation of state collective farms gone?

Cuban historian Miguel Iturría Savón, who also describes himself as an independent journalist; writes a blog called Ancla Insular (Island Anchor). This is what he has to say about Cuba’s reforms (my translation):

If some astrologer could predict with certainty the end of the Castroist dynasty, I would believe in astrology. But the problems faced by Cubans are too great for those who make predictions by means of the stars; in politics there is no place for the prophets, who are more used to dealing with issues related to the gods than to humans. And Cuba’s case goes beyond that anyway.
