I dont have ramps or any cool games.
I'm thinking of borrowing a wheelchair so they dont feel alone.
Should I arrange a race or some kind of wheelchair game?
How shold I act around them? Should I offer them things off shevles to start conversation?
Should I pretend to be interested in wheelchairs and handi capped stuff?
I got a cool shirt that might break the ice and get people smiling.

any advice??????????????
No they aren't retards, just wheelchair people.
Yes, that sounds like a great idea. And then, to make you feel comfortable, they can act like they have some sort of mental disorder. You'll both feel right at home.

Yesterday I started collecting pop can tabs to make a wheelchair, and i need to know how many i have to collect to make one. Does anyone know?
Do you mean BUILD a chair from tabs? Answer- for an art project, it would depend on the size of the finished chair. For a real chair- forget it.
Do you mean to donate to a group for a chair? Not many places really do this. The few that do (like Ronald McDonald house) count the tabs as aluminum and cash them in- so aluminum is 45 cents a pound right now (as a guess), and it takes 1,267 tabs to make a pound. A cheap chair costs about $150, so...
It will take about 334 pounds of tabs at 45 cents a pound, or 421,911 tabs total.
So, why don't places REALLY take tabs? Because cans are worth so much more. it only takes 32 cans to make a pound, so you'd only need 10,688 cans to do the same thing. However, collecting cans is smelly, dirty work so few places do it.
To put it another way, if your family drinks a 6 pack of pop a week, it will take you over 1,300 YEARS to collect enough tabs for one chair, or about 34.25 years if you recycle the entire can.
What you CAN do is to recycle your own cans and have the money donated to a good cause. Many recyclers have accounts like that already set up!

Serious questions. About a month ago I started collecting pop tabs and was curious on how many it would take to make a wheelchair. I've got about 1000 so far, but I know the numbers really big. Does anyone know even a ballpark figure of what it would take?

i think my hamster might have had a stroke.
she is about 1 1/2 years old and she keeps dragging her legs behind her.
she also keeps chewing on her legs to get them to move and to get the feeling back in them.
i know she is in pain, but she HONESTLY still has a reason and a will to live.
she also has a snaggle tooth that sticks out of her mouth and goes right under her eye.
P.S. she's a dwarf hamster, if it helps
Are you serious!!!???
"I know she is in pain, but.." ....but nothing. If an animal is in distress help the animal by providing it medical attention. Your prolonging her pain and that's really sad. There may be something internally affected as well that you don't know of. I know it's hard, thinking about losing your hamster, but put yourself in her place...would you still have the will to live in that situation?

Probably about 5' to let two chairs pass each other, look through the above.

Weeks ago I had been asked to provide dessert for a Wheelchair Foundation event that took place on Saturday night. Originally, I had thought there would be 60 people and the number grew to 100+ people who would be attending. If I had really thought about what I was agreeing to, it would have intimidated me like crazy because in North Dallas, and in all of Dallas for that matter, desserts, cupcakes, cake balls, etc., are discussed and written about in our local newspaper almost as much as wine.
What in the world did I get myself into, and for 100+ people…I have got to be out of my mind.
So on Friday, when I really should have been doing that “other” job that makes me the real money, I was in the kitchen racking my brain about what to do.
