Know when your competition begins and how long it will take you to get there. Venue gates open 2 to 3 hours before competition to allow all spectators to go through the security screening process and reach their seats. All spectators need to prepare for long line ups outside of the entry points where standing or walking for a period of time may be required. Spectators arriving within an hour before the start of competition could wait in line for more than an hour.
Know how you will get to and from the venue. There is no parking at any of the venues and public transit is included in the cost of your event ticket. Walk, bike or take one of the expanded forms of public transit including the bus, SkyTrain and new Canada line.
