I've put out flyers, made a webpage, and started a blog. I'm in Calgary, Alberta. I know there are handicapped-people who want to learn how to train their dogs. How do I make myself more accessable?

By advertising in Mobility magazine. Posters in hospitals and papers, local radio, also with a web site.

I have a "My Mobility" brand walker with brakes and a seat and one of the tyres have developed a split in it. I live in the Liverpool area N.S.W Australia Does any one know where I can purchase a new tyre? I am desperate this is the only means I have of getting around.

I am in the hospital in FL. I just came down with what is being called Guillian Barre syndrome and have leg paralysis. I want to openly ask for donations to help pay for leg brace, therapy, my (so far 1 full week of in-patient admission) as well as walkers, mobility devices, etc. Can you help me figure out a legit way to get some proceeds to helpme out? I need it! Thanx.

Guillain-Barre is usually at its worst in about 4 weeks after which there will be a slow recovery--weakness may persist for 3 years or more.

There are several things you can do about autoimmune diseases in general. The dust mite plays a big role, so microfiber sheets, bamboo furniture, and even an adobe style residence can all limit the amount of dust you inhale and the number of dust mites around. The dust mite feeds on dead human skin, and that means YOUR protein signature is in their feces and body parts that form a large part of dust. This makes your body's immune system recognize some of your own protein as an enemy, if the exposure is great.

i havr a 7 month old who loves to stand (with help) and is very active but i hear walkers are horrible.i like her to move around on the floor as far as rolling over and sitting up is concened but thats temporary as well as a seat thgat she has. she has a exer-saucer but she can only jump and gets tired of that quickly. n e ideas on what to get???

I used a walker on both my kids, they are now 6 and 8 and just fine. It did not hurt their legs at all. They both have played softball and have PE in school and have had no problems from it. If you can find one I would use it, my youngest was a terror in hers, she would have her sister running for cover, it was so funny. They also had the push toy one person mentioned but it is hard at first because it goes a little faster than they can walk. my youngest also used that for a long time, turns out she had vision problems, it explained why she was such a terror because she could balance with the walker, she would run even on carpet with it, but then she has always been a go getter, she could run army crawl too.
