What is the best way to sell used medical equipment?

We just aquired a bunch of used medical equipment that is in decent condition (grandma passed away). We want to try to sell it to get a few bucks, but I'm not sure about selling on eBay since most items will be difficult to ship (walkers, sling lift, wheel chair, hospital bed, etc.). I have no idea about the value of these items either, so I'm hesitant to list them in the classifides or Craigslist. Any other ideas?

since no ebay, there is a sight called govdeals.com i just know how to price on it, not sure if there is a way to auction unless you are special.. also we have a place in our area called golsn.com where you can sell stuff... if your area has a place like that then try it, or try the local classifieds!!
to search the values, type in the brand name.. that will give you a ballpark figure!!

Who offers assistance for children who need medical equipment?

I work with a lady whose 8-year-old granddaughter has arthrogryposis, a congenital joint and connective tissue disorder. The girl's mother is having a tough time right now with finances. The family has military benefits, but I'm not sure to what extent.

The mother just paid for new braces for her daughter's legs and a new walker, but she needs a new wheelchair due to a bad wheel.

I wanted to try and see what resources may exist for this family.

Any suggestions?
They live in Ohio in the U.S.

Try the National Support Group for Arthrogryposis:

My wife got out of the hospital today and needs some medical equipment. Where can a look for second hand?

She has difficulty walking without a walker. I want to buy her a small electric wheel chair or get about. Does anybody have a web site that list items like that? A new 4 wheel electric cart starts about $2,800. Are there cheaper carts available?

try to rent it from a medical supple store look them up the yellow pages

  • FDL Action » The When, How, Who, and What of the Public Option Opt-Out

Several news sources are reporting that Harry Reid plans to put a national public option with an opt-out provision in the merged Senate bill. So far, there have been almost zero details on how this national public option with an opt-out provision would be structured. I’m going to explain four important variables and how they could affect the success and availability of the public option.

When can states first choose to opt out? There are two different opt-out time frames, which I will call “pre-reform opt-out” and “post-reform opt-out.” The public option is not going to be available until most of the reforms really start in 2013. A “pre-reform opt-out” would allow states to opt out anytime before the public option would first be made available in 2013. This would be a “bad” opt-out provision which would probably result in more states opting out. The earlier that states would be allowed to start opting out, the worse it is. Since no one would yet have access to the public option, opting out before reform started would be politically easier.
