Best Baby Walker

I want to buy an affordable walker for my son but I don't know which one. I need something small ( I live in an apartment ) and that can roll easily on carpet and hardwood floors. Does anyone know? And on another note, does anyone know how to remove the seat from an intellitainer? It needs to be washed. Thanks!

I understand the dangers of walkers and was hesitant to use the one I received for my baby shower. However, when my son wasn't happy with just me holding him, my husband decided we'd use the walker. We have a very small apartment with carpets and linoleum and so far, our son has been safe the past 2 months rolling around in it. We keep a very close eye on him, especially when he bumps into furniture. I have a Precious Moments walker (kinda girly for him but he doesn't care) and it's good so far. The back wheels don't turn for added safety, but you still have to watch them very carefully.

I would say that it depends on the space you have. My son had both and I will tell you that he loved the Rainforest Jumperoo way more than his walker. He loved the thing so much and he used it for quite a while. He could turn all the way around in it like a saucer and could jump like crazy. There are toys all around and lights and music. It is well worth the money. if you decide on a walker, I suggest getting one that has varying heights and I preferred not to put the toys on my son's so he would actually walk and not sit in one place to play with the toys. But like I said, the Jumperoo is awesome!

My four month old LOVES her Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo, she likes to stand and look around so I bought it for her at 3 months. All I did was place a pillow below her feet, because she could not reach the ground. I bought mine at Babies r' us, I think it is the same price at Target.

I have a 8 month old baby boy. He is ready to move about and is board with the immobile bouncer that he has been using since he was about 4 months old. The bouncing has made his legs VERY strong but as I said he is ready to move about. Problem is I have a 1 level home with plush carpet thru out. except for the kitchen and bathroom. Does anyone know witch walker I could purchase that would allow my baby to move about easily.I guess one with larger wheels maybe?

I would get one of those play centers that are like a walker but the bubby can move in circles and play with all the toys on the side. Both my babies have loved that

I am looking for an inflatable (or it looks that way) rainbow baby walker like off the movie Witches of Eastwick with Jack Nickelson.
