Just started to date a man who sleep walks and has since childhood, he walks around and does various household activities before laying down on couch or bed. I've googled it but was curious about other people's experiences.

If there is a concern about his safety, or if he wants to get some treatment, he might consider a Sleep Clinic. There he can be observed, diagnosed and treated. Good luck.

I am a sigle parent who rasing a dandy-walker young adult who has behaviros and is severly mentally reatarded with limited speech and is not shunted and is very smart. I also wanted to know if your adult child was ask not to come back to a program for special needs and advertised that way. I also wanted to know if any body is having trouble finding a Dr. to care for your dandy-walker young adult child. thankyou for your help. Sharon

That is illegal to tell an adult child not to come back. Those are legal issues and a good lawyer will get that squared away. Hope things work out for both of you.

my mom just found out that she had Dandy-Walker Syndrome and I would like to know what it's all about in adults b/c all's I see on the internet is about children that have it.....

I have never met anyone with Dandy-Walker Syndrome. One place you may be able to find out more information that can be of help is at: http://rarediseases.about.org

Also, you may be able to find group listings for this condition on Yahoo Groups in the way of support groups and such.
