Wheel Chair

What is the difference between wheel chair accessible cabins on cruises and non-wheel chair accessible?
My partner and I are not handicap and I have been assigned a room that is wheel chair accessible.
Can I ask the cruise line to change the room? Or it is not that bad?

My family has gone on 2 Royal Caribbean cruises with my father who is an wheelchair.

Here are some additions to the wheel chair rooms:
-generally larger. RC wheel chair rooms are actually 50% bigger than normal cabins. They take 3 regular rooms and make 2 (trust me...you can see the wall divisions!)
-Balcony rooms have a little ramp out to the balcony for easy access.
-the bathrooms are much larger and the showers are wheel-in.

Now, I am EXTREMELY surprised you go a wheel chair room if you are not disabled. Royal Caribbean requires anyone booking a wheelchair room to submit a letter from a physician stating that it is required. They do this because the wheel chair rooms are much larger than the same class non-wheel chair accessible rooms but cost the same. So of course if they didn't require the proof everyone would be booking them for the space.

Anyway, If you have a moral conscience, then you may want to tell the cruise line so that the room could be made available to someone who really needs it...but hey, sometimes it's nice to get something you weren't expecting!

The fomer First Lady from Taiwan claimed to have a fracture on her knee a few days ago. The intriguing thing is that she's been confined to her wheel chair for many decades now, and she never needs to worry about moving around since there are always professional people to carry her on and off her wheel chair. So, this led me to wonder if someone like her can have a fracture or break a bone? If yes, how does that happen? I'm very curious, and your help will be greatly appreciated.

If she's been confined to a wheelchair for decades and she has osteoporosis, then yes, she can break a bone just by moving the wrong way. My mother in law has osteroporosis and she broke a rib simply by coughing. It can happen.

Would they need special care if there paralized from the waist down? How would they take showers if they can't bring there wheel chair in the shower room?

My wife has musclar dystrophy and I need toget her a electric wheel chair and get one threw NHS, Is there charity i can help get fiancial support from? Good chairs cost a fair bit of money but would give my wife the freedom she needs.

Since 1986 over £3 million has been given out in grants making a huge difference to over 5,000 people with muscular dystrophy.

Every year more than 200 grants are made towards equipment such as powered wheelchairs, electric beds and specially adapted computers - equipment that empowers people with muscle disease to be able to do more for themselves and together as a family. "

How do I sell a wheel chair loader and carrier on Yahoo?
Is there a link that I can go to? I have used the help pages by yahoo (which suck) and keep running around in circles. Any help from a human with knowledge about my question would be appreciated!
My neighbor requested I try and sell his ramp/carrier on yahoo. He thinks ebay and craigslist is a scam. I am doing this as a favor!
