Used Mobility Scooter

My wifes mobility scooter used to be able to do 15 miles approx on one battery charge, now it will only do half a mile. I have put new batteries on it but this makes no difference. Help would be very much appreciated as she is unable to get out and about without it. Thank you.
Batteries are new gel type and are fully charged each time the scoter is used

these scooters don't have an alternator. Check the cables on the battery and make sure they are clean and tight and also check the recharger.

I've tried listing on Craigslist but there doesn't seem to be much interest in mobility scooters as they are not the hot commodity. Any ideas of national or local stores are much appreciated!

Some one in Australia did but I don't know the story yet.

Depending on what the reasons are for stopping/suspending someone from using their scooter.

If they did not have a legitimate reason to stop me from using the scooter, then I would fight it.

But if the person is a danger to themselves or others, such as riding the scooter on the road like a regular vehicle, causing traffic build up, or near misses with road traffic, and they have been warned then, then the reason for suspending a person from using their scooter is legitimate.

I live in Victoria and a man died year or so ago on his scooter, he lived around the corner from me, and he would often ride his scooter in the middle of the road, blocking the road, even nearly causing many accidents, he had been spoken to by the police after many complaints & near misses, sadly he ran out of luck.

I want to buy an electric (non mobility scooter) and use it within my town in New Jersey however I am wondering something What is the speed limit a person with an electric scooter can go before it becomes illegal and does it really require a moped / motorcycle license even if it goes 19 mph?

In May 2008 I brought a new motorhome, the dealer told me I did not qualify, we brought the motorhome inclusive of VAT. The same dealer has now told me I qualify for VAT exemption, has taken a deposit from me, but puts the phone down on me if i ask questions regarding the VAT. I have written to the dealer, but to date no reply. HELP

You can qualify for relief from VAT on the purchase of a motorhome if you meet the following conditions:

It is designed, or substantially and permanently adapted for the carriage of a disabled wheelchair user

It has has a carrying capacity of no more than 12 people

You will need to complete an eligibility declaration form available at the following link see section 13. The link will direct you to a VAT notice entitled 'Motor Vehicles for disabled people' and contains further information including the conditions above when purchasing a motorhome.
