What is the best adult scooter for the price?
extreme.edit

My local Big5 has the Airwalk Grande with 210mm wheels and a height of over 36inches but I'm not sure if it's an "adult scooter". Does anyone know how this compares with the Razor A5 Lux scooter? Both of these scooters have larger wheels for smoother commutes and high handle bars for adult comfort.

The Know Ped and Xootr both have higher price tags and it seems all that you gain is the hand brakes. Are the hand brakes worth it?

What is the best big wheeled adult scooter?

I own a Xootr MG, and from my experience it is the best scooter out there. Yeah, it is pricey, but its well worth it. Its fast a hell, and its built really well. I ride along side my friends who bike ride and they're the ones that have trouble keeping up with me.
I've rode the razor and it doesn't even compare to the xootr.
If your able to shell out a little bit more, Xootr is definitely the way to go!

What is the best scooter to buy to use around a college campus?
Vintage, Barcelone

I'm thinking about buying a gas engine scooter to get around my large college campus and be able to drive around town on the roads also. Any suggestions? I know nothing about scooters, but want to get a reliable, yet not crazy expensive scooter

I recommend the Genuine Buddy 125cc from the Genuine Scooter Company (an america based corporation). I haven't heard any thing bad about this company and their prices are not that ridiculous. Not to mention it is american made, so you know you'll be getting a quality scooter.

What is the best scooter out there for the money?
L1140275

I would like to buy a scooter. I know nothing about them. What is the best scooter for the money? If you take them to the grocery store, how do you keep people from stealing them? They look like you could just pick them up and carry them away. Are they hard to drive? Would a motorcycle be a better buy than a scooter?

I've been riding a 2007 KYMCO Xciting 250 for the past 4 weeks and it's great. Handles well, good take off from a stop, and plenty of storage under the seat.Plus you can add a trunk box if you need extra storage space. It's averaged about 62 mpg, after the initial break in. It will do highway speeds, but I wouldn't recommend that type of use because it's only about 400 lbs. and the wind would blow you all over. I'm over 200lbs and the scooter will move out fast and get me ahead of the traffic with no problems. I have been riding a 750cc motorcycle for the last 10 years, and the Xciting 250 is by far much easier to ride on around town. KYMCO used to make Honda parts and from all the research I've come across, it seems to be a good brand that cost less than the name brands. The Xciting is water cooled, which is a great thing if you get stuck in some traffic on a hot day, because you won't cook the engine. Only problem I could see for someone is the seat height is pretty tall. I've got a 34" inseam and can touch down both feet comfortably, much shorter than 32" you will be on your toes at a stop. The believe the new EFI version has a slightly shorter seat height. This scooter comes with a 2 year warranty and some dealers will sell you an extended.

How come my Kymco scooter starts just for a few seconds then it stops even though my gas tank is full?

How come my Kymco scooter starts just for a few seconds then it stops even though my gas tank is full?
It automatically stops wheter i used the push button ignition or by kick start?
But i was able to run & use the scooter 2 days ago & tried to start the engine last night & it worked.
But this morning it (the engine) doesn't run anymore.

Don't know for sure, but I can tell you of a problem I had with my BMW once. It kept cutting out after riding for a few miles. I'd pull over and usually it would start after a few minutes. I finally figured out that the vented gas cap wasnt venting anymore and gas wasn't flowing down to the carbs. All I had to do was clear the airway in the cap and it worked nicely again.

You could also have a clogged fuel filter or a choke stuck open.

When you reach the top, you unfold the scooter and either stand or kneel while riding it all the back down the slope. For bumpy terrain you can stand on pegs near the rear wheels and let your legs absorb some of the shock, while for smoother terrain you can kneel comfortably on the pack. It’s designed for the roughest terrain with aluminum frame, full suspension, triple-hardened tubes, adjustable air shocks and disc brakes. You can store extra stuff in the pockets of the pack too. It sells for € 1,499 or around $2300.
