I want to sell a scooter that is commonly used by disabled people. Where can I sell it?

I have had a scooter for 3 years, but have never used it. I am disabled, but it won't work for my handicap. I've kept it wrapped in plastic and stored in a controlled environment. What's the best way/place to sell it?

Depends in part on how much you want to sell it for. Craiglist IS a good suggestion. But there is also CheapCycle.com, kijiji.com, and ioffer.com.

Where are you, what kind is it, and how much do you want - I might be interested.

I have 50cc scooter, disabled senior citizen looking for training wheels can anyone help?

There are no local shops around here that do that type of work and no I'm not kidding, I realize you can't go fast with training wheels I just need them to get confident, I've never been on a scooter

I seriously doubt if (fixed) training wheels would even function on a scooter, other than at very low speeds. Get much faster than 6-8 mph, and the wheels will prevent turning by leaning (as a scooter is meant to), while the width of the wheel's track will be too narrow to offer stability for normal "car" steering. This thing would be a death-trap.

If you intend to have the wheels raise up automatically as speed increases (as some GoldWing owners have done), then it might work, but will be expensive.

If you are able to stand, consider the MP3, a 3-wheeled scooter made by Piaggio. It can stand on its own at stops. It comes in multiple sizes, from 125cc to 500cc

Is it possible to navigate the streets of Dubrovnik when using a scooter (I am disabled).?

You can navigate some of the streets in a scooter and some of them not. There is a lot of steps everywhere and there are not many ramps around, especially in the smaller streets. Some of the walkways are very narrow too. Dubrovnik is in a steep hill, which can make it harder to get around.

During the busiest tourist season the main streets of Dubrovnik are so full of people that it's hard for anyone to get around or see much. If I ever go there again I will make sure to go there at a less busy tourist season.

There are some perks you can get from serving your country and now it seems that soldiers who risked their life and ended up being disabled and lacking in mobility. Such is the case for people like Naik Ram Dass during the Indo-Pak war. Apparently Dass’ leg got affected by a mine blast, rendering him handicapped until recently. Dass was among the 55 disabled soldiers that were given a modified scooter at the Bombay Engineering Group.

These modified vehicles should change the lives of the once immobile soldiers like Dass who served the country. Each scooter was said to be worth around Rs 53,000.
