Mobility scooters come in many styles and price ranges to meet your requirements. Selecting a mobility scooter isn't a life or death situation, but it is definitely one that should be considered with care. There are four main elements of Pride mobility scooters, which make them different from electrical wheelchairs. A mobility scooter allows the user to point using a tiller - this actual thing is a bar with a handle that makes it easy to turn the front wheels to control the direction of the scooter. This bar can be angled for a comfortable ride and locked into place for safety. As well as controlling the scooter with the tiller there are thumb levers that control forward and reverse motions. The seat itself is usually well padded and sits above the scooter on a stem. The tiller and the seat sit on a floorboard.
