Start a mobility Scooter Rental business in Atlantic City New Jersey.?

For those who are handicap or a lil tired of walking the board walk. I figure theirs already one just give them a lil Competition I think it's a nice idea and please ppl give me real feedback or good, bad,or indifferent.

Sounds like a nice idea, but I would look to see how the other place is doing with business. If they are very busy renting these items, a little competition will be good, but if they aren't that busy by renting, the only thing you will do is flood the rental market and probably loose money ! But it sounds like a good Idea, Good Luck with it !

Mobility Scooter for Overweight?

Hi,
I've put on some weight in the past couple of years, whilst at college, and I get really tired and upset walking long distances. I've just started my masters course at a new college, which I has a really spread out campus. There are no shuttle buses like at my old university, and I can't handle the hills and stairs at my size. I've tried diets but they don't work and I can't stick with jsut eating crappy vegetables and celery - a girl's got to eat well! - and I'm too busy for gyms. I really want to know whether I can get a decent mobility scooter for getting me around - I don't want to miss out on classes or socialising by not being able to move about. Does anyone know how much a good scooter will cost? Can you get them second hand? Also, can you get health insurance to pay for something like this? I'd like something cool that can scoot me around quickly and not look frumpy - any advice?
You don't need to be so negative - it's not like i eat all the time, and I would just want this to travel between buildings, not all the time like in class or anything. Yeah i like food, but i'm not some kind of monster who doesnt do anything but sit around getting bigger. I can't get a bicycle because i cant ride one or balance on it, and id get even more tired riding it. Thanks to the one person who gave a useful link so far!

How would i go about opening a spray shop for mobility scooters?

I get tired of seeing candy purple and blue ones and wondered if i could pimp a few mobility scooter rides

Ha ha! 'Pimp my mobility scooter' I can see it now...

you would have to tone down the reveal though, don't want any old dears keeling over from shock.

Giving my parents a mobility scooter with conditions...?

I dont have much of a relationship with my parents, especially my mother. This comes from their neglect as grandparents towards my son, whom I love more than anything. Recently my father has become ill and is now unable to walk great distances. I offered to buy him a scooter (mobility buggy) and he did not want one initially. Now he has agreed and it arrives tomorrow. I have a feeling that my mother wants to use it more than he does, which I suppose had to happen.

Anyway, I know from experience that my parents are liable to use this buggy then decide they do not want or need it. In the past they have sold or given away things like this that I have helped them out with once they tired of them.

In this instance (as the buggy is expensive) I do not want my parents to sell it or give it away. Hence, I am going to tell them that it is on loan to them from me until they decide they do not want it anymore. Is this wrong?
What is it about my son they have not accepted? I am not sure. There's so so many things they could choose as a reason: My wife is Angolo Indian and a catholic. My son was born on the same day as my late elder brother (which I take as a great message of goodwill from him) and maybe that freaks them out. I refuse to befriend my sisters abusive lowlife (Springer Show) husband. I refuse to accept my sister's abusive behaviour (theivery, drunkenness and general horridness)., I refuse to accept that my surviving brother is mentally handicapped, as my mother insists (I know he is just a 40 plus year old mooching bum pretending toi be an idiot to gain peoples sympathy).

Any one of those issues has caused my family to be estranged from me, but as to the ignoring of my son I think my wife is right. She thinks theat my parents just don't know how to behave and don't (for whatever reason) have any loving feelings towards me or my son.

Yes, I've had counselling over this :)

I think you are doing the right thing. You are a good son, who, despite such awful parents, is still able to help them.

Just safeguard yourself financially and emotionally. I know the kind of parents who think more of themselves than their children or grandchildren. You have a big heart, so please don't let them hurt you with their odd behaviour.

xx

  • Mobility Scooters And Outdoor Surfaces | Mobilityright.co.uk

When you purchase a mobility scooter, you should receive some basic guidance on using it and the types of outdoor surfaces that are suitable to use it on, either by the retailer, documentation that comes with your mobility scooter or from a combination of both.

If you have purchased a class 3 mobility scooter then you will know that you can take this type actually on the road and of course that the other types, that are not class 3, need to be kept off of the roads, apart from when you are crossing a road.

Generally most users will be keeping to pavements, occasional road use and areas like outdoor shopping parades and indoor shopping centres.

These are usually areas that will have a suitable surface that enables the tires of your mobility scooter to grip well and there generally wont be too much on these surfaces that could be picked up by the tires that would possibly make them slippery.
