I realise Prague has an abundance of cobbles but I may need to hire a Mobility Scooter for my father-in -law. Help!
1) I found these places that hire mobility equipment
This is only place with actual scooter..others hire just chairs. It is ' skutr Cityliner 410 - čtyřkolový

Only manual chairs but this is national charity for the paraplegic, and can give information in general on accessibility in Prague http://www.paraple.cz/Default.aspx?tabid =80
All these sites are only in Czech ..but all have contact and email.. And I'm sure someone would be able to understand English..
Here are a few words to help you understand the site.
PLUJCOVNA = RENTAL, POMOCEK = AID (disability aid)
ELEKTRICKY SKUTR = MOBILITY SCOOTER
ELEKTRICKY VOZIK = ELECTRIC WHEEL CHAIR
MECHANICKY VOZIK = MANUAL WHEEL CHAIR
CENA = PRICE , DEN = DAY, MESIC =MONTH
KONTATKY = CONTACT
1 euro = roughly 28 kronas
2)I personally think a wheel chair would be easier if possible.. A scooter might be a little difficult to travel around on..
However here are some informations that I hope you will find helpful.

A contact in or near Euro Disney where my disabled sister could hire a mobility scooter for one week?
Eurodisney offers wheel chairs and strollers to rent within the park. The rental is free if you are staying there or 6.5 euros a day otherwise..

But they don't rent out mobility scooters and I heard that the wheel chairs aren't very comfy either.
I think it is hard to find somewhere that hires mobility scooters within Paris.
This is one of the largest disabled equipment sellers in France and about the only place that I could find that hires out scooters but the price is expensive http://www.amma.fr/Design/Design.htm
For further help you could try this agency that specializes in acting as a consultant for disabled travelers to Paris, and does offer to arrange equipment rentals

You can order a free guide for disabled visitors to Euro Disney from this number 0870 606 6800
And try this organisation too. It is the largest provider of rental mobility scooters in the USA, and I heard that there were expanding to Europe including Paris and Euro Disney. You could contact them to see if they have started in Europe yet.
